A principios de año publiqué una versión de "Let Me Roll It" de Paul McCartney & Wings; y, como ha sucedido varias veces ya, la cagué con una interpretación vocal dudosa, para ser amable conmigo. Mi amiga Agustina, a más de 6500 km de distancia física pero como si estuviese acá a la vuelta, me pidió el track sin la pista vocal, y devolvió algo que sí está a la altura. Luego el Fer agregó una guitarra rítmica y otra solista. Espero lo disfruten.

Formed in 1980 in London, the new wave funk outfit Haircut 100 are one of those bands that tore right out of the gates. A top four single Favourite Shirts (Boy Meets Girl) before even having a record out was a pretty propelling start. That record came in the form of 1982's platinum seller Pelican West, which
not only went to #2 on the UK albums chart, it spawned more Top 10 singles like Love Plus One, Fantastic Day and Nobody's Fool. Singer Nick Heyward, left the band after their debut and embarked on a brilliant solo career, which yielded hit singles like Whistle Down The Wind and Blue Hat For A Blue Day, along with flawless albums like North Of A Miracle, From Monday To Sunday and The Apple Bed. And now Haircut 100 are back, playing shows across the U.K. including Glastonbury and North America in August and you should see them if you can because they've never sounded better. And I believe new music is on the way, which is very exciting. For my money, Nick Heyward is one of the most brilliant songwriters of all time. It's hard to think of someone who writes with such elegance, finesse and melodic muscle. He's a master craftsman, a writer with poetic poise and harmonic genius. I think this guy's practically peerless and his work has meant so much to me for a very long time.

By the age of 17, Jake has released 4 albums and 10 singles including his latest released 25 August, 2023, Blank Slate, He has also recorded a number of covers. He writes plays, sings and produces most of his tracks.  and is looking for the opportunity to perform on the big stage and to collaborate with like-minded musicians his own age from anywhere around the world. Look out for a new single in early 2024.

To celebrate 2000, I took a year off to write songs, novels, plays, and stories - and I've been doing that since. At the end of my first year, I won first prize in the USA Songwriting Contest in the Lyric Category for 'Drum Machines and Beauty Queens.' This led to co-writing songs with many excellent musicians, including those represented in songs posted here. 

More recently, I was one of seven finalists in the Crisis Lyric Category of the 2021 UK Songwriting Contest for 'Lockdown Blues,' and one of nine nominees in the 2021 International Song Awards with 'Didn't the River Know' and 'Blue and Gold.'

For the past two years, I've been collaborating with many talented musicians on Kompoz. I release many of these songs here and compile the best into albums released under Captain Stormfield's Trip on Spotify and other platforms (see links below).

40 jaar maakt hij geen radio meer.
Als jonge cabaretier is hij samen met Hans de Booij het muziektheaterduo CIRCUS STUPIDO.
Als horecaman start hij in Antwerpen tussen 1980 en 1991 de stadskroeg, het swingcafé en grand café salto mortale.
Als festivalpromotor van het Nederlandstalige lied organiseert hij tussen 1988 en 2007 het festival pop Vlaanderen op 10 en 11 juli op de groenplaats in Antwerpen.
Vanaf 2007 maakt hij muziek en teksttheaterproducties voor het productiehuis BLAUW VZW, muziektheater.be
In het coronajaar 21 start hij radio prostaat op:
de Vlaamse wereldradio voor de rijpere luisteraar.
