What an amazing experience I had playing the Waldeck stage at Mit Dir Festival in Friedland, Germany. With such stellar artist care, killer sound from Lambda Labs and Allen & Heath, plus getting to perform on my favorite Xone:96 - I couldn't have been more stoked and comfortable up there. I had an absolute blast raving with you all...it was the perfect way to end this summer's Germany tour. The energy you all brought to the dancefloor made this performance one of my all time favorites. I have to confess, that special energy I felt is one that I've often felt can only exist on a festival forest floor. It's a magical transfer of energy between dancefloor and performer...making us all one and the same - creatures raving together under the moonlight, independent of stress/anxiety/sadness/anger or anything else that brings us down...and just effortlessly feeling the psychedelic groove and that techno drive. Together. 

I want to extend a special thank you to the Mit Dir Festival crew, the Waldeck stage management and artist care, and Sören for inviting me out to such a cool event <3

The name “Crescendoll'' means more than what it seems on the surface - it describes a charming music maker, a musical conduit comprehensively educated in music and technical production, and stylistically influenced by a wide array of dark and melodic electronic sounds. Her unique blend of minimal psytechno is characterized by eerie melodies and driving rhythms, growling gutter grooves, psychedelic progressions and details, and a signature darkness.

Crescendoll is based in the USA but performs globally, and has been featured at shows in Western Europe, Australia, India, Saudi Arabia, and across North America (including Mexico and Canada). Crescendoll is a co-founder of the USA’s only dark Minimal Techno / Psytech label Shadow Wulf, and an alpha with sister label Wulfpack. BACKGROUND Hegstraction grew up in the 80s & 90s heavily influenced by the emergent electronic music in Amiga, Nintendo & PlayStation video games & the movie soundtracks by electronic music pioneers Jean-Michel Jarre, Tangerine Dream, Vangelis & Kraftwerk. Recent influences from German techno DJ/producers Felix Krocher & Stephan Bodzin.

INSPIRATION His inspiration differs from most artists as it comes from the dance floor where he is most at home. From over 20 years experiencing DJ sets worldwide throughout Europe, Asia, South & North America, his ideas have been shaped.

METHODOLOGY He approaches each track as a mini set, building up slowly, using level changes, sounds that stimulate & energize, following Skeletalism (using closely related sounds) & Massification (layering sounds over time) methods.
