Amnesia
I wake with a gasp, but it feels like I never slept. The air is thick, pressing against my skin like damp cloth. A high, piercing ring coils inside my skull, growing sharper, like something is crawling through my ears. My pulse hammers against my ribs, a frantic, stuttering rhythm. My body is locked between past and present, fight and flight. I don’t know why, but I know I have to move.

The room is wrong. The walls seem stretched, breathing. The shadows aren’t where they should be. I get up, my legs stiff, unsteady. My breath is too loud, too fast. I need to check the rooms.

The hallway is longer than I remember, stretching into something unfamiliar. I walk forward, slow, careful, but the floor doesn’t creak the way it should. The doors stare back at me, waiting.

I open the first one. Light flickers inside, too harsh, too white, casting warped, shifting shadows. The air hums, an almost-voice, a conversation I can’t quite hear. The walls seem thinner here, like something is pressing from the other side, trying to bleed through. I step back. I close the door.

The next one is dark, but it isn’t empty. I can’t see, but I feel it—deep, hollow, a blackness that watches. It reaches toward me, slow, patient. My stomach turns. I shut the door before it can pull me in.

I move faster now, but the house doesn’t make sense. Doors open to rooms I don’t recognize. Some lead nowhere at all. I open one, and I see my own bedroom, but I’m not in the bed. The sheets are pulled back like something just left.

I keep going.

At the end of the hall, the last door waits.

Music seeps through the cracks, slow and uneven, like it’s being played by tired hands. My mouth is dry. I already know what I’ll see, but I push the door open anyway.

The living room is dim, the light just enough to not see clearly. The piano is there, hunched in the corner like an animal, its keys pressing down one by one. No hands. No body. Just the song, dragging itself forward, struggling to exist. The air is thick with something invisible, a presence that lingers just outside my vision. The melody falters for a moment, a mistake, like it knows I’m here.

The hair on my neck rises.

A breath moves against my skin.

I turn around—

And the house is gone.

Just the piano now, playing, playing, playing—

Until I wake up.

Or maybe I never do.

Since then, he's had the opportunity to play in multiple events and among some of South Africa's biggest artists such as: TiMO ODV, Mogey, audiojerk, Kilopascal, Michael Douglas, Two Tone, Thatcher, RIKAY, Nique, Bassmental, Ctrl Room and many more. His distinctive production, influenced by the likes of: deadmau5, Skrillex, Stimming, Zedd, Swedish House Mafia, David Guetta, Steve Aoki, Benny Benassi, Oliver Heldens, Nicky Romero,  Avicii, Jon Hopkins, Uberjak'd, Clockwork, Billy Kenny, Kyle Watson, ClassSickKwl and many more has earned him the chance to release on multiple record labels.

Sam's goal is to impact and inspire anyone willing to listen, just as the artists mentioned above did for him. He believes all the accolades and acclaim come second to the joy he's able to give people, whether you see him on stage or simply listening in.

Ayant démarré dans les années 2000 dans les soirées électroniques bretonnes en passant par Paris, Eivissa puis aujourd'hui Marrakech, c’est réellement en 2007, dès mon arrivée sur Brest que j’ai trouvé mon réel terrain de jeu. Tremplin Astropolis, membre du collectif Fresharts, résidence de plusieurs clubs en passant par les soirées brestoises Minimum Deluxe derrière le duo "The Pixelers" playlisté notamment aux côtés de Paul Kalkbrenner, Reinhard Voigt, Clément Meyer, Pan-Tone, Joachim Garraud, Bloody Mary, Princess Léa, Commuter puis une signature sous le label Verboten avec Franck Kartell. Une décennie plus tard, je reprends le virus en compagnie des copains sous un nouveau projet pour distiller un groove tech-house to techno fédérateur et hypnotisant pour me faire kiffer autant que vous !

"I strive to create unorthodox and experimental music characterized by atonal and irrational rhythmic qualities. These creative choices stem from a blend of musical taste and a lack of technical skills. My creative process often begins with a vivid scene in my mind, sparked by reflections on various art forms such as paintings, songs, and literature. I believe that any 'tension' is beneficial to artistic quality and am driven by themes that are often perceived as depressive, detached, abstract, and tense - qualities that I embrace as accurate representations. I draw inspiration from these sources to craft 'unique' musical compositions. Setting aside fancy words: more often than not, my recordings are spontaneous improvisations captured in a single take, layered together to narrate not a captivating experience but to depict the 'scene' in my mind..."-F
