Corinthia, I must be a better lover to myself before being a better lover to you. I treated you unfairly among other things, I’m sorry. My humility isn’t based on how much a piece of crap I was to you, yet these were and are the very lessons that have molded me to reach this moment. Through the tears of reflection and relapsing from self destructive habits, I dance in the rain of those tears and do more than just hate myself for how I was (to you). I will never forget learning for the first time how it felt to be in love with you, even if it was naivety. I like this feeling of healing, forever learning to see and embrace the beauty of pain.
