Emerging from Manchester’s electronic scene, Josh Burnett steps into summer with a first outing on Stacey Pullen’s Blackflag Recordings. Titled 'Jus Tryin', the three-track EP marks a milestone moment for up-and-coming talent, fusing his rolling, percussive grooves with unmistakable UK flavour and earworm R&B vocal chops. 

 “This EP was put together in early 2025 and worked heavily around catchy vocals and rolling drums. I sent ‘Jus Tryin’ over to Stacey a few days later after it was finished, and he was really keen to get this out on Blackflag. I was so pleased when Stacey asked if I wanted to sign this to Blackflag as it’s such a legendary label, run by such a great person. It’s a label I really want to push my sound out to, so it feels great to be finally getting this out. I really hope everyone enjoys the music.” - Josh Burnett. 

With a wealth of experience behind the decks as a resident and a growing reputation across the UK, Burnett has quietly built a name with track support from the likes of Jamie Jones, Marco Carola, Joseph Capriati, wAFF, Mason Collective and more. Landing in the midst of summer, this three-tracker brings his sound to a global audience as he steps out on one of Detroit’s finest imprints.

Josh Burnett - My Lovin' [Blackflag Recordings]

Originally from Athens, Greece, I began as a DJ in 1989 - aged 16. My first paid gig was at a seaside rock bar, playing 70s and 80s indie and alternative. Since those early days of cassette mixtapes, my style has morphed and evolved whilst remaining eclectic. I now live and work in Edinburgh, Scotland - via London - since 1998.

My two key DJ personas shifted between bar-, and club-work, playing anything from jazz, trip hop, and alt-pop to house, techno, and nu skool breaks.

Since 2013 and while my style remains eclectic, I favour indie dance, acid disco, and tech house, always infused with 80s elements from goth, electro, and ambient.

A mix is a journey with a story throughout - it has a beginning, a middle, and an end - so sit back and relax, or get up and dance, but always stay the course...

	Nick AG is a music producer from Greece, currently based in Montreal, Canada. His relationship with music goes a long way back, since he realized that making people dance was an amazing way to share positive vibes with the world! Eventually, Nick AG acquired a great understanding of the process of producing music that is emotional as much as it is impactful. Ultimately, the artist’s vision is to make people have a good time by dancing to house music! 

	The Spartan producer actually got his start as a DJ, mixing music and creating stunning set lists at various bars and clubs. He took it to the next level by creating his own tracks, so he can share his feelings and good vibes through his productions. This is the reason why his tracks are always laced with a special element, something that will really give people goosebumps and make them feel music the way he feels it.
