#The Regret Collection - Pt. 3

As I approached the end of my twenties and faced the harsh reality that things truly change over time, I began to evolve musically. I was outgrowing heavy music and yearned to reconnect with my roots, influenced by bands like Matchbox Twenty, Third Eye Blind, Counting Crows, and many more popular 90s artists.

Inspired also by artists like Ben Howard and City and Colour, I was ready to embark on my first solo album journey. Released in July 2014 during a pivotal moment in my personal life, the album came out amidst a series of challenging breakups, both personal and musical. I had finalized my move from Nebraska, the birthplace of my music, and was preparing for a new adventure on the front range of Colorado.

My debut solo album, “Mind Over Matter,” was accompanied by a going-away party at my house/studio, and I bid farewell to Sidney, Nebraska.

The album featured a total of 12 tracks and though it may not have garnered significant attention on major streaming platforms, it holds a special place in my heart. 

This track in particular, featuring Jordan Schrade, holds a particularly significant place in my timeline as a musician and music producer.
