I'm a DJ and producer that started spinning records back in 1998. I had the best days of my life in the London club scene at events such as Escape From Samsara, Pendragon, Trancentral and Frantic.
Over the years I have played alongside Lab4, Andy Farley, Mark EG, Chris Liberator, Sterling Moss, Beamish, Jace, Tara Reynolds, Ephexis and Alek Száhala. 
I also co-ran an event called Synthetic at Club 414 in Brixton during the early '00's.

Karl Schmidt aka Karlage began his DJing career back in the year 2000 when, after quite a few years frequenting the notoriously popular Hard House; Trance and Drum n Bass clubs of the mid to late 90's, he knew that the one thing greater than digging holes on a dance-floor was to be rocking it from behind the decks.

Along with a few friends, he then bought a pair of turntables, got to learning the basics and basically spent every cent he earned on vinyl-shopping.

A very enjoyable 5 years of DJing in and around London then ensued from 2001 - 2006 which led to him playing in some of the biggest and best clubs in the U.K. gaining masses of experience along the way. These parties and venues include U4ria, Frantic, Renaissance, The Fridge, Brixton Academy, 414, The Koz, The Soundshaft, Heaven, Wildchild, Koko (Camden Palace at the time), SE1, Byte, Velocity, Turbulence, Heat – playing a range of Techno, House, Trance and Hard House/Crossover (Hard Techno).

Found my passion for dance music around 1994 when my sister introduced me to artists like The Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Josh Wink, CJ Bolland and Orbital.
From here i started my journey through the rave culture and was pretty much in to all styles of Hardcore, Drum N Bass, House and Trance.

Finally in the year 1998 i got my hands on my first set of turntables the Soundlab belt drives, which im pretty sure every Dj stared with back then. Mainly mixing Drum & Bass and Garage i went on and started my journey as a Dj in my local clubs/bars around the Surrey area.

The year 2000 started a new phase for me when my friends dragged me along to Peach at Camden Palace, i was always into Trance music but from this moment i knew this was now the direction i wanted to take but focusing more on the Harder styles of Trance and around 2005 we decided to start our own nights called Summit and Summit Above 160 which hosted some amazing Hard Trance/House and Hardcore parties at clubs such as Soundshaft, Hidden, Club Life, The Mass and The Light box.

As a Dj i was blessed with bookings for events such as Heat, Frantic, Hardhouse academy, WildChild, Judgement Sundays, Raindance and Epidemic  just to name a few.

For me now it’s all about breaking the Trance scene. Exciting times ahead so keep checking back for updated tracks and Dj mixes.
