Tim Eder is a DJ and graduate Audio Engineer living in Mainz / Germany. He is collecting and spinning records since he is 14 years old. His style is defined as an atmospheric journey from House to Techno and back - meandering between deep, groovy, funky, jazzy, discoish, soulful, dubby and trippy vibes. Tim's taste is heavily influenced by the sound of the early days of Chicago House and Detroit Techno. Together with the impact of the Rhein-Main area and the bearings from Berlin's scene, he developed a profound understanding and very own definition of electronic music. Besides the four on the floor, he is deep into experimental Trip-Hop and cinematic Ambient. Since 2018 he is running the vinyl label ''Feuilleton Music'' together with his longterm fellow and DJ partner Chris Gruber aka Fossar.

Back in October the @stolarrecords label boss released his incredebile #athmospheric second #LP 'Apparent Calm Palms,' on @feuilletonmusic which you easy could get lost in. But also his last impressive contribution for the @itsdelayed podcast series left us mouth opened impressed. 

His music already recieved a lot of attention wehter from remixers like @kimbrowntrippy , @_johannaknutsson_ or @lawrence_dial but also from djs around the globe.
 
we are more than happy that he immediately agreed to play one of his hazy live sets for us.

The fourth Exposure Series release is upon us. If you have not heard, the Exposure series is our signature compilation series that features multiple artists and is pressed on vinyl for the most discerning DJs and collectors. 'Linear Radiance' gathers together 4 extremely hot artists in the scene for one special 12'. The EP begins with 'Raizel' by the hot newcomer Grush. This early set builder is smooth in the constraint it has rolling along in the sweet spot. A beautiful jaunt that is rich and fluid. Next, is the amazing Philipp Priebe. 'So Glad' is another Priebe heater. A very talented producer, you can always count on him for great dancefloor business. The melody sneaks up on you as it builds from deep within. A sublime and subdued corker! 'Sonic Shadows' starts out on the B-side from skillful Nicolas Barnes. Riding a catchy micro dub sound that is clever, fun, and surprisingly deeper than we could have ever hoped! All four tracks make for a healthy, well-balanced piece of wax! Stólar label boss Philipp Priebe delivers the inaugural long player on his own imprint this December, entitled ‘Movements In An Empty Department Store’ and comprising eight original compositions from the German artist.

In the words of the label founder himself ‘’this is the first album on Stólar, a collaboration with Jules and Valentin, who are in charge of the artwork (Jules) and the Logo (Valentin). This LP is about a kid’s dream - one night alone in an empty department store. A dream come true for lots of children and adults, as it gives you the opportunity to do what you want, try everything without the side eye of employees, snack through the entire food and sweets section and have a night off without thinking about consequences. This can become great, a nightmare or a feverish dream these eight tracks are your soundtrack to this adventure.

Throughout the ‘Movements In An Empty Department Store’ album, Priebe further showcases his ability to craft, raw, cinematic and often mystical deep house music that acts as a cossetting sonic blanket for the listener throughout. From the swelling bass lines, dubby echoes and ethereal textures found in tracks like ‘Marble’, ‘Porcelain’, ‘Drenched In Dust’ and ‘Fever Dreams’, through to more rugged percussion driven dance floor tools like title-cut ‘Movements In An Empty Department Store’, ‘Cedar’ and ‘Clouds Floating In A Haze Of Light’ or the pensive, haunting closer ‘On The Way Out’, Philipp Priebe once again proves himself as a remarkable composer with a striking ear for detail and depth.

A minimalistic shaker driven drum groove is the fundament of this track, that breaths raw deepness with every second and gets its emotions provided by a pad, you’ll dream of for a bit.

-`♡´-Priebe's music, which already have a distinct style or genre, gains a broader appeal through Kaczor's remixes, reaching new audiences and adding a layer of complexity and excitement. A match made in heaven, I'd say :)

For Love over Entropy, music is all about ideas. Experimenting with different workflows and taking influences from a wide range of artists, he eschews formulas and tries to infuse every track with a life of its own. As a result, ever since the first release in 2013, his music is primarily shaped by his own musical fascinations instead of genre conventions. Crucial to his tracks is a sense of internal logic and flow, that also extends into his live sets.

At an abstract level, Love over Entropy's music draws inspiration from the Ligne Claire aesthetic. This is a style of drawing made famous by Belgian cartoonist Hergé in the 1930s, but which goes back even further, to Japanese woodblock cuts from the 17th century. Very much like those woodblock cuts, Love over Entropy's music is precise yet organic. To the point yet rich. Abstract yet familiar.

Love Over Entropy wished to name this EP 'Pleioné'. In Greek mythology, Pleioné was an Oceanid nymph and mother of the Pleiades. Pleione presided over the multiplication of the flocks. This title thus seems utterly fitting, since the music seems to keep on coming and going, the same yet different, repeated yet with sounds adding to each other in waves. The whole gives a sense of being so subtle and deep that the mind gets to float freely in a boundless ocean of sounds.

To complete this package, we are delighted to have Philipp Priebe on board of this project to offer his own dreamy yet bouncy take on the original '5step3'.

Through his melodious, often melancholic and intricately crafted productions on the likes of Freund Der Familie, Greyscale, Æ Recordings and of course his Stólar, Priebe has gained a reputation as one of Berlin’s finest purveyors of the deep. Here he marks the end of his milestone ‘Movements In An Empty Department Store’ album with the third and final remix package, following on from Rising Sun and Ben Kaczor interpretations. 
Molly tackles ‘Drenched In Dust’, encapsulating her signature sonic aesthetic of groove-driven, subtly nuanced and mesmeric deep house music. It’s a return back to Stólar after her two EPs „On The Road Again“ and „Island Flow“ on the label.
