1 hour 18 minutes of my favorite classic 90s house tracks. This music is a huge part of my life and shaped my tastes in profound ways. Before discovering breakbeat and jungle music, I was fascinated by house music. When I was about 13 I went to my first real dance club with a DJ/lights/soundsystem - Kaboom! in Northeast Philly. The DJs there played some of these. A few years later as a raver frequenting the clubs downtown is where I would hear the rest of them. Crank it.

Originally intended to be a part of the "Midnight Lights" mix series (which you can find on my mixcloud) this mostly-liquid-funk-ish set from March of 2013 wound up being called "Vocal Funk" for a bit only for me to later re-coin it "Quiet Storm" as a nod to the late night radio show on Power 99. It's a good set - deep, cerebral - and contains some real gems you may have forgotten about. Crank it.
