Stewart Kidd, aka Strangefruit, has spent much of the last two decades 40,000 feet in the air, travelling the world  allowing him to indulge his passion for travel, culture, music and fashion. His unquenchable thirst for new music and culture was quenched during frequent travels around the world where he became an expert on world music as well as his beloved dance music, where he bought most of his vinyl from Vinyl Mania NYC,  
Strangefruits  passion for music seen him become one of the first dj's in the uk's first super club the Tunnel in 1990, at the beginning of house music, dj-ing alongside the likes of Danny Tenaglia, Roger Sanches, Frankie Knuckles, Todd terry, to name but a few.  residents at the start of the nineties when acid house/club culture became more of a youth movement than an option for a night out, a movement that Strangefruit was ideally placed to push forward. Influenced by Giles Peterson, Kruder & Dorfmiester and Nightmares On Wax with a style that he describes as Jazzanova meets Bruce Lee at Cocoon, Stewart has also played out across the world including invitations to perform at Liquid Lounge NYC, Vanity Fair after party New York, Aura in Ibiza, Yacht party's at the Monaco Grand Prix as well as performing in Caracas, Tokyo, Singapore,Sri LankaChamonix. His list of accomplishments also include music consultant for fashion designer Deryck Walker who's  show went down a storm in New York and music consultant for feature film  Dark Nature and the launch of Ralph Lauren Glasgow.
Strangefruits ability to adapt all genres with ease and knowledge is a testament to what he can do, never one for the limelight, he will always look for a collaboration as with 
piece together a three dj set playing out of UK and working on his beloved soundpuddle.com with founder and great friend and mentor Colin Barr, who set up the famous Tunnel club.Soundpuddle was devised for hotel lobby's, cafe's bars,boutiques, anywhere that wanted to hear the coolest sounds and mixes from the worlds top dj's

Strangefruit  has an understanding of most of the world’s cooler destinations coupled with an Encyclopaedic knowledge of rare grooves and play lists. His wealth of experience is one of the reasons that soundpuddle has been accepted into many of the world’s cooler boutiques, bars and hip hotels. Strangefruit is always looking for new collaborations and projects and delivers accordingly, he crosses boundaries and can play pre-club lounge to club to fashion show or gallery.
