This is Mike McFee doing his solo creation with a piano and sax accompaniment called the Road To Freedom, and was on the release called Ex Animo which is Latin for "From the mind or heart; sincerely; conscientiously."

I liked them so much, and I didn't have to force myself to sing... which is pleasurable to hear music without a message attached.

This bootlegged Audacity version doesn't do the song justice... I find the audio is all over the place with the tones of the songs, especially the sax.
It sounded like real sax over midi, I have a true audio file of it on CD.
