Hiatus over, Pluie/Noir podcasts are back, this time with a name little name change, in anticipation of a new collaboration with the @ringsofneptune agency managed by both @soundslikenies and @cleymoore. This podcast has been ready for more than a year, but due to the uncertainty of the future of this project, it was put on hiatus for a while. 

At last, we're delighted to welcome Clovis to the series. Clovis's music selection is remarkably timeless and perfect for the last moments of Winter (in the Northern Hemisphere, mind us). An interview is up on Rings of Neptune's official page. Enjoy!

Planetary Interscapes - Episode Two: '13357' by Karolina & Piotr

Weird not-so minimal deep house flirts with broken jazz records, winks at French finesse, and dives headfirst into a pool of lo-fi and avant-garde whimsy. This track crackles and hisses at every corner – like an old shellac record rediscovered in a dusty attic somewhere between Detroit and Paris.

Warm e-pianos purr like elderly cats while a saxophone, dragged through inter-dimensional filters, shifts from silky smooth to gloriously glitchy – like a broken VHS tape still trying to groove. A fine retro haze blankets everything, delicately sprinkled like nutmeg over a sinful café au lait.

The groove lives somewhere between pampa 'esque skewed sonic daydreams, perlon'esque dadaist elegance, and the jazzy understatement of a smoky Berlin backroom. 

This is house music as surreal cartoon: charmingly off-beat, blissfully unhinged, nodding slyly toward free jazz, winking at 4/4, and tugging your soul  and heart into a dance they didn’t know they wanted.

Westend Ghetto - nolu (5:55 25052025 (deep house)

Avant-garde house music between lofi- and minimal / deep house, techno, glitch and electronica, plunderphonics and house, the Westend Ghetto Guys somehow occupy a niche of their own and live from strange glitches and bizarre sounds. Bootleg remixes and mashups for 'iamamiwhoami' also lead to an official remix ("N") and collaborations with other musicians (e.g. 3PM, Minute Taker, Christopher Norman, Klordop / Tis, Morgen Wurde) from the Swedish pioneers of viral video chips. Not surprisingly, the collective from the Westend Ghetto even published sample libraries for the renowned magazine "Computer Music" and for the 'sounds2sample'-Platform and offers highly acclaimed "ensembles" in the Reaktor community ("Native Instruments").
