I've risen from the garden of corrupted carnality
My thorns have grown sharp
Due to your faithful amorality
I sleep with my eyes open
Though I've grown wise from the grief
Little girl who never blinks
When will you finally get sleep

Never again, you had no right
I want my body to be only mine
In my DNA your evil is entwined
No one will ever see what lies behind
The innocence yet turpitude
Reflected in my sunken eyes

Though I can finally sleep
I'll never be at peace
This corrupted carnality runs deep
Rage will forever live inside my womb

It's kind of amazing that almost every state in the U.S. has a poet laureate. At a time when America feels so divided, what it would mean to see the country through their eyes? That’s what I’m going to try and do with this series of audio collages.

I don’t know how long it will take or how often I’ll be able to put them out. But I’m going to try to speak with as many of these poet laureates as possible and turn those conversations into brief bits of sound and song.

As an artist and poet, my focus is being authentic to myself. My art is unapologetic, carrying depth and emotion. My writing and spoken word are the same but in a more clarified way; being pure and unfiltered. I believe that art, in all forms, should not be dictated by audience but rather that it must remain as an unbound act of expression.
