guardian angel

All of my heroes.

They all seem… Attentive to my attention.
It’s a hot night tonight.
All I seem to want to do is stare at these colours.
Scroll through these videos.
I’d probably be nice to them.
Pretend to be indifferent.
Pretend to be something more than I am.
Like they do... For me...
But it’s not a favour.
They want it to feel like a favour, but it’s not a favour.
It makes me feel like if I’m not everything, then I’m nothing.
Sometimes I think that being nothing might be the better thing.
But they show me the grass is always greener.
I feel like I know them.
I wish I could turn it off.
The slow drip.
It either slaps me or kisses me.
Never enough.

Adolescence

Moonlight Whispers

They say:
“You die 
before you hear the sound.”
So we stare at the sky,
And wait for the ground.

Not a minute goes by
Without the sound—
Explosions chasing
One another down.
We hold our breath
When the jet flies near,
Or when the drone hums low—
Cold, and clear.
We know it's not for us,
Not exactly here—
But still…
It draws near.

Does death ever tire?
Does it need to breathe?
Does it pause in mercy,
Or just tighten its teeth?
Does it sit in silence,
Counting who’s left?
Or stop for a moment—
To doubt its own theft?

We watch the window
For no reason at all,
Exhale relief
When it lands far off.
We count the minutes
Between each scream—
And when it’s quiet too long,
We start to dream.

Does death ever tire?
Does it sleep at night?
Does it miss its mark,
Or dim its light?
Does it skip a breath,
Just one, by mistake?
To grant a mother
The time to wake?

We whisper madness
To fill the gap:
Did Death grow tired?
Did it take a nap?
Where has it gone?
Has it paused for grace—
To let a child rest
In its hiding place?

Is it weeping in a bar,
Staring at its hands?
Ashamed of its medals,
Its blood-soaked plans?
Is it slow to change
Its uniform of grief—
Too soaked with names
To find relief?

No, death doesn’t tire.
It just steps aside.
It waits for the silence—
Then swallows the sky.
It lingers when mercy
Tries to resist…
And returns more cruel
When a child persists.

Does death ever tire?
No.
It just waited—
For the rubble to let go.

Je m'enregistre dans mon salon sur une focusrite à une entrée (j'enregistre d'abord la guitare puis ensuite la voix que je double parfois) le tout branché à un vieux PC de 2009 qui manque cruellement de capacité. Ma guitare à 50 ans, mon père me l'a offerte pour mes 10 ans . Elle s'est détériorée plusieurs fois et je l'ai réparée autant de fois. J'ai du temps maintenant alors je compose, je joue et je chante. Bienvenue

I record myself in my living room on a single-input Focusrite (I record the guitar first, then the vocals, which I sometimes overdub), all connected to an old 2009 PC that's seriously lacking in capacity. My guitar is 50 years old; my father gave it to me for my 10th birthday. It's broken down several times, and I've repaired it just as many times. I have time now, so I compose, play, and sing. Welcome.
