The Czech-American Prague-based project It Burns was formed in February 2025. In their work, they blend post-punk and dark-wave influences with a minimalist, stripped-down aesthetic and a focus on emotional depth. The duo consists of Zdeněk (synths, guitars, arrangements) and Cheryl (lyrics, vocals). Cheryl’s personal, poetic lyrics with an existential edge are born of sorrow, inner transformation, and a search for truth beneath the surface.
