“Six Years Later ” is a reimagined version of “Two Years Later,” the closing track from my 2021 album "when you find my body, call me by my name". Originally written as a quiet epilogue, almost a throwaway, it took on new meaning when it unexpectedly hit the Classical charts in Spain in 2024.

While working on "fight to keep from sinking", I leaned more into strings, textures, and atmosphere. As I neared the finish line, the idea of an epilogue surfaced again, and I decided to revisit the original track, this time with the sound and emotional tone of the new album.

It felt like a fitting way to close this chapter.

What was once a footnote has become something more reflective, more intentional — a small piece of survival, stretched across six long years.

The 700th Week of Disquiet Junto! 
Just after lunch I read this weeks challenge and was looking at my computer the window directly ahead of me! I snapped the photo and decided to record out the window for about 10 minutes. 
You don't see much from my window, a green fence / shed with a defunct biomas unit inside, part of my car is visable. The windows are quite dirty, there are trees at the top of the photo. 
I live in a rural spot, nothing about expect fields and trees and I was drawn to the addiotnal line of info 'Brief can be neighborly'  - As I have no neighbours I wanted the field recording to be central and the wind was nice but I put some effects on these sounds and just started to play around with notes and keys until this nice slow track took shape.  There is a nice airplane about 2 minutes in.  I was looking out the window all afternoon as I made this, watching the leaves and branches swaying away!

Building on the emotional voltage of his earlier work On/Off, Fjodor’s new album Ever Higher, Ever Further, I Soared Into the Dark is a three-part journey through the extremes of existence. The tracks—Before Birth, During Life, and After Death—trace a bold arc that explores what might happen before we are born, what drives us while we live, and what could follow after death.

Each track is powerful and immersive, pushing emotional and sonic boundaries. Blending cinematic scale with the grit of cyberpunk and the drama of post- and neo-classical music, the album is tightly structured yet constantly shifting. Strings, electronics, and layered textures build a sense of momentum—at times explosive, at times barely holding together, but always with purpose.

With its dynamic energy and richly visual sound, the album is especially suited for sync—amplifying storytelling in film, streaming, and trailers with its emotional and dramatic range.

I vividly recall conceiving this arrangement with a set of keywords in mind: noble, decadent, aesthetic, salon-style, modern, minimal, and clarity. The accompanying visual was also created to incorporate all of these keywords, portraying the fleeting moment a once-noble material begins to decay. It is an attempt to express the aesthetic found on the blurred line between the pristine and the perishing.

The catalyst for its release was my recent work on "Calling from Heaven."

While arranging the first half of "Calling from Heaven," the melody of this "Prelude" kept weaving in and out of my thoughts. Musically, their chord progressions are quite similar, and their themes are, to some extent, interchangeable. It's a fascinating thought that "Calling from Heaven" might have been composed as a deliberate nod to these roots.

And so, this experience reminded me of the "Prelude" I had arranged long ago, and I decided to release it as well. Upon unearthing the project file, I discovered, to my astonishment, that it dated back 11 years...!

この制作では、ノーブル、退廃的、耽美的、サロン的、モダン、ミニマル、透明感、というようなキーワードでアレンジしていたのをよく憶えています。
公開にあたり制作したビジュアル画像もこれらのキーワードをすべて含むようイメージしています。
かつてノーブルであった素材が、退廃していく一瞬を切り取りました。美しいものと朽ちゆくものの曖昧な境界にある耽美を表現しています。

今回これを公開したのは、先日アレンジした「Calling from Heaven」がきっかけです。

Calling from Heaven の前半のアレンジをしている間ずっとこの Prelude の前半が思い出されており、頭の中を出たり入ったりしていました。コード進行など音楽理論的にはよく似ており、それぞれのメロディをある程度相互交換可能です。
Calling from Heaven がもし意図的にこのルーツを汲んで作曲されたのなら非常に興味深いことだと思います。

そんな経緯で、ずっと以前にこの Prelude のアレンジをしていたことを思い出したので、流れのまま一緒に公開することにします。
プロジェクトファイルを掘り起こしてみたところ、なんと11年前のファイルでした…！
