'If Love Feels Like A Fever' is a chill synthpop ballad which shows that while a lot of 80s-inspired music is fast and fun, sometimes it's allowed to slow down. But that doesn't mean this track feels stagnant; it does keep moving forward. The main driving force is the pulsing bass and the relentless synth arpeggio which keeps up throughout most of the track. Throw in some acoustic guitar, a pleasant synth melody and a solo which really sings, and this is an 80s ballad at its finest.

**UPDATE** This is the UNRELEASED full Heaven and Hell mix..  This is dedicated to My bestie.. the team that started to help me with the recovery of depression, and to a snap chatter, who gave me an idea about remixing a Willle Nelson Song, which I can't put ON HERE!

I was actually thinking about not releasing this track at all. And there are many reasons. One was I am taking a very big leap in releasing a track that for me could be a power hit.. or maybe not!

This is all about my mental health battle between heaven and hell.. not in the religious way but with my personal journey of trying to stay alive and the heaven of sanity, and the hell of the alcohol binges I had until 22 months ago, when I became sober. (updated info)

This song never came into my mind until I heard Celine Dion singing a song written and produced by a man named Jim.

At first the speed was for a POWER ballad, and about his favourite themes, motorcycle metal! (Yes I made it up) that him and Meat Loaf made famous.

Yes Celine’s version was a cover, but it needed a major boost with speed, and a drum beat that I needed to make from scratch. So it came out as Coming Back To Me.

This is only an official demo, and I would like the powers that be with Sony, Celine and the Steinman family to release this track with new vocals from anyone that dares to make this their own song . Or I will make the official song with the original song sample and ask Ms Dion to revoice the track.

Yeah this is a blog post and ramble but I needed to show you why this track is the best track I ever made!

Over a 40 year span, I have written a countless number of songs, alone or in collaboration with others.  Here, you will find the product of those efforts with many songs recently re-recorded.  Frequently, earlier versions live here as well. All songs were written by me (RC Sterling) unless otherwise noted.  While several singers contribute to what you hear, the most common element across the material is a commitment to crafting catchy pop/rock/alternative tunes. In some instances AI programs have been used to isolate older vocal tracks when the original audio files could not be found.  All tracks have been auto tuned and pitch corrected as needed. Unfortunately, nothing could help those demos that featured my lead vocals. 😁
