Lix Method DJ SERIES returns out of the blue...with a curve-ball aimed to hit you square in the face!! !


2 young & vibrant (albeit quite established) super talents join our family of dope DJz this weekend. These artists are hand picked by yours truly and invited to record tailor-made HQ underground electronic music DJ sessions which feature on my Soundcloud space in Spotlight and get "pimped out" via my Facebook and Instagram accounts.



This relentlessly unapologetic and hard-hitting techno DJ mix by EAUB is entertaining to say the least - a wild ride proper. with strong elements of the unpredictable.  Skillfully selected, mixed and structured, it manages to surprise and delight throughout its entire duration  and ends triumphantly with a brilliant and unexpected psychedelic trance belter .   What I've just revealed doesn't even count  as a spoiler - this mix will leave you in awe from beginning to end!!


Eaub is a remarkably gifted young DJ based in the island of Gozo, though in his case a quantum leap to the rave scene in Malta is imminent. Eaub has quickly gained traction among the Maltese crowd, having delivered fast tempo/hard hitting online sets for various online platforms in the genre. These upper-echelon quality recordings have made such an impact that he now has major gigs lined up, and will be playing, in the coming days and weeks, at  events by Locals Malta, Riot Culture and the much anticipated Neolitika festival.

Lao Chi (aka Lix Method) is first and foremost a bedroom turntablist, and a vinyl enthusiast and collector.  He is secondly an intimate-venue/crowd DJ.

Most proficient with 3-turntable setups and particularly fond of Digital Vinyl Systems (DVS) such as Traktor Scratch and Serato; he does not underestimate the prevalence of the CDJ and has learned to adapt.  

Lao Chi's ultimate goal is to keep perfecting his own personal take on the art of audio montage; by juxtaposing and mixing elements of several diverse records together, weaving them into intricate and extended sonic tapestries driven by dynamism and flow, and characterized by strong elements of structure which allow for the listener/dancer to experience a unique/unforgettable journey, ideally without having to sacrifice the subversive joys of transitioning between different genres and alternating energies and moods. 

He sees this creative (and recreative) process of consistent propulsion towards unattainable perfection as ongoing, evolutionary and never-ending, and as an end in itself.  

Lao Chi is also in love with hip-hop and has been, through the years, influenced by a variety of artists ranging from Nine Inch Nails to Aphex Twin, via Meat Beat Manifesto.
