Mureed Hammad - Evening Show I

Purple Rain — performed live by Rif Evans.

Recorded at the fire pit at Little Big Gig Festival.

I've always felt there is something spiritual and almost magical about this song. To me, it speaks to the way life can bind two people together — through love, friendship, loss, change and all the things we don't always have the words to explain.

I never wanted to replicate the original. Prince created something extraordinary, and trying to copy that was never the point.

I wanted to pay tribute to the song by performing it honestly in my own style — stripped back, softly sung and played on picked 12-string acoustic guitar, allowing my own voice, phrasing and interpretation to take the song somewhere different while respecting where it came from.

This is simply my interpretation of a song I love, performed live in the way I felt it.

Performed by Rif Evans.

Purple Rain — Live Fire Pit Session | A Tribute to Prince

2 HOURS

IT ONLY TAKES 2 HOURS TO GET TO YOU TONIGHT
IT ONLY TAKES 2 HOURS AND THEN I’LL DO YOUR BODY RIGHT
I WANNA HUG YOU AND SQUEEZE YOU AND HOLD YOU AND TEASE YOU
UNTIL THE MORNING LIGHT
I WANNA FUCK YOU AND EAT YOU AND LOVE YOU AND NEED YOU
CUZ I’M YOUR MAN – THAT’S RIGHT

2 HOURS – 2 HOURS

IT ONLY TAKES 2 MINUTES TO WALK RIGHT OUT MY DOOR
PACK MY BAGS AND LEAVE MY WORRIES RIGHT THERE ON THE FLOOR
OPEN THE SUNROOF AND CRANK THE GROOVE
IT FEELS SO GOOD TONIGHT
KICK BACK, RELAX, I’LL BE THERE IN A FLASH
SAVE ME A SEAT, ALRIGHT?

2 HOURS – 2 HOURS

(BRIDGE)
WHY DON’T YOU MEET ME HALF WAY?
THE SAND ON THE BEACH CALLS OUR NAME
WE COULD FUCK UNTIL THE SUN
MAKE LOVE ALL NIGHT TIL WE’RE DONE….

IT ONLY TAKES 2 SECONDS TO DECIDE WHAT I’M GONNA DO
I JUST HEAR YOUR VOICE OR SEE YOUR FACE AND THAT’S ALL I NEED FROM YOU
YOU’VE GOT ME WRAPPED AROUND YOUR FINGER,
AND YOUR WAIST AND YOUR TOES
I’LL BE THERE IN A HURRY SO DON’T YOU EVER WORRY
CUZ THAT’S JUST HOW LOVE GOES

The Greatest True Romance Dance

Adam Bogdan reimagines When Doves Cry through a modern Miami lens — an 80s-inspired remix blending nostalgia with a strong, dancefloor-ready deep house / minimal house groove. Built as a contemporary club edit with a radio-friendly edge, the track connects classic 1980s energy with today’s Miami nightlife and underground electronic sound.

Rif Evans is a British independent singer-songwriter with a distinctive, weathered voice and an unmistakable approach to delivering a song.

Moving between alternative folk, acoustic alternative, roots and darker singer-songwriter music, Rif combines emotionally direct writing with a vocal style that can move from intimate and restrained to raw and powerful.

The songs explore love, loss, isolation, relationships and real lives — carried by unusual phrasing, strong imagery and a voice that refuses to disappear into the background.

For now, this public page features just six selected tracks: four live performances and two studio demos.

The four live recordings are here deliberately — stripped back, real and live, giving the listener a chance to hear the voice and performance without studio production standing between the singer and the listener.

The two studio demos offer a first glimpse into the wider musical world and the album currently in development, Working Through the Demons. They are demos rather than finished full-production album tracks, and show another side of the sound as the project continues to develop.

Rif's wider catalogue of original material is currently being withheld from public release while selected mastered demos are presented privately to record labels, publishers and other music-industry opportunities.

This is only a small part of the catalogue.

More music will follow.

All music performed by High Powered Musical Cool, Chicano Soul, NOLA All Stars Peace and Love Revue or LaTour solo.

STAR is an acronym composed of first initial of the four young ladies whose voices bring life to my tracks...they could all be solo stars but they choose to be part of a team...collective whole is vastly superior to individuals who live for glorification of self.
