Back for another round of newer hard dance sounds. A variety of hard tech trance, hard dance and hard trance. As always, the mix builds into heavier and heavier sounds. Each song stands on their own and it's one big shotgun blast of sound! Hard to pick a overall favourite, although Smith & Brown's remix of Spiders, is close. I mean who can follow Scot Project and do it well, if not better. Little tribute to Faithless singer 'Maxi Jazz' with Gentech remix of We Come One. also worth noting. I never play Fatal Energy songs in these mixes, as these are inspirational mixes to me. Songs I love and like. Producers I admire. Hope you enjoy!

I still remember the early days of Hardstyle so clearly. When I heard the first sets of the Qlubtempo editions, I was instantly hooked! That authentic, lived-in early Hardstyle sound has stuck with me ever since! I've picked out tracks that remind me of that time. Nothing, but absolutely nothing, can beat that specific sound! Try to convince me otherwise! 

Here’s a small explanation taken from the Q-Dance website:

"Qlubtempo: the birthplace of hardstyle. This concept laid not only the foundation for hardstyle, but also for Q-dance. We'll take you back in time to the history of this legendary concept.
It was 2001: the heyday of hardcore was over, and people were looking for something new. Q-dance was still called Qlass Elite, and hardstyle hadn't yet been invented. We were throwing old-style parties, but that was starting to wear off. The hard feel that had dominated the dance scene for years was gone.

We decided it was time for something new. We had a venue: Hemkade in Zaandam, and we threw some harder styles into the mix. That's how we came up with a new concept: 
Qlubtempo, a monthly uptempo dance party, as we called it back then. 
"Uptempo dance only" was even the slogan for a while. "

Coming out of the Hardcore period... 
Silvio Aquila (Arend Hebers) started listening to (hard)trance, hardhouse and techno. But then he discovered Hardstyle!

Silvio Aquila began to mix in 2003 in a local youth centre on the holy Technics turntables.

In 2006 he was asked to join a dj team consisting of 4 dj's & 1 mc, thanks to this he got a chance to present himself to the 'outside world'. Unfortunately this dj-team decided to split up and everybody went their way in 2007...

Afterwards Silvio explored more places in the the Netherlands, abroad and slowly building his reputation. In 2008 he became a resident dj of the well-known online Harder Styles radio FearFM. 

Left his mark on party's like Vroeger Was Alles Beter, Hardclassics, Back2school, Indicator, Decibel and more.These days Silvio Aquila still performs, in the Netherlands and abroad.
