We had the idea to do the story of the Persian storyteller Scheherazade, the mythical source of the Book of the Thousand Tales and One Tale of the Arabian Nights, translated by Richard F. Burton.  I think @APi_ZZ has 'almost' made it into a ballet and the cover art is his too.

Annie (https://soundcloud.com/annie-dieu-le-veut) (re)tells the framing story of "One Thousand and One Nights" in her own charming way ... and me sets this to music and an image. Be enchanted ...

The track is inspired by this statement: There are always areas of silence in any culture, and part of an artist’s job is to go into those areas and come back from the silence with something to say.

"The fool is the jester, daring to challenge what other people wouldn’t. The fool is the blazer of new trails, happily taking the less beaten path because he does not know better. The fool is the one who does things because he thinks it is worth doing, not for coin or status."
These thoughts inspired lyrics good for another tune. Here it is.

chasing poems

There is a little poem by Charlotte Brontë, ‘The House Was Still’:

The house was still – the room was still
‘Twas eventide in June
A caged canary to the sun
Then setting – trilled a tune

A free bird on that lilac bush
Outside the lattice heard
He listened long – there came a hush
He dropped an answering word –

The prisoner to the free replied

But sadly, what he replied we will never know. The poem breaks off there. At least when written in 1915. 
"We will never know" ... until now. I took these sentences and shamelessly asked AI to continue the story. Here is the result as Folk & Singer-songwriter tune.

Reviews of new records occasionally feature nice little excursions into more general and even a bit philosophical topics. One of these at a recent daily.bandcamp outing sources and inspires this track.

This tune and its lyrics are inspired by an article from: THE NEXT Whole Earth Catalog, 1980, p588:

Chuang Tzu (399-295 BC) lived 200 years after Lao Tzu. Using parables and anecdotes, allegory and paradox, he set forth the early ideas of what was to become Taoism. Central in these is the belief that only by understanding Tao (the Way of Nature) and dwelling in its unity can man achieve true happiness and be truly free, in both life and death. 
To him, nature is not only spontaneity but nature is a state of constant flux and incessant transformation. This is the universal process that binds all things into one, equalizing all things and all opinions. The pure man makes this oneness his eternal abode, in which he becomes a "companion" of Nature and does not attempt to interfere with it by imposing the way of man on it. His goal is absolute spiritual emancipation and peace, to be achieved through knowing the capacity and limitations of one's own nature, nourishing it, and adapting to the universal process of transformation. He abandons selfishness of all descriptions, be it fame, wealth, bias or subjectivity. Having attained enlightenment through the light of Nature, he moves into the realm of "great knowledge" and "profound virtue."

Being musician and artist "since ages", the last two decades and all the developments in digital music broadened my interests and activities in doing music actively and passively. Not being shy of any genre (OK, leave off some Punk and Extreme Metal derivates) I engage in composing, arranging, mixing and collaborating. 

Oh, and I do all my artwork and designs as well. And as you may notice I regard AI as a friendly helper.

Have a few looks & listens into my repertoire and eventually gain some insights. I'm always open for collabs if the the interests match ...

All the lyrics of my songs are written by me. I put them to music with A.I. and then I spin up the whole lot in the Magimix with samples and loops. I can't sing for toffee, so if you fall in love with a singer on one my tracks, it's likely to be a robot!  Just sayin'...😎
