Yes, we are in the air with the PFG Progcast, jetting you off to another exclusive destination, where a world class artist delivers us a world class set. 

It is our debut visit to the beautiful Mediterranean locale of Greece, home to many open air parties and raves over the years. Here we find one of her premier electronic artists, well versed in Production, Remixing and of course DJing! 

We are mega excited about this one, has been a while in the planning, so please make some noise for Simos Tagias!! 

Simos Tagias was born and raised in 1982 in the city of Serres, located in the North of Greece. His name has been well connected with high quality electronic dance music since 2012, from Progressive to Tech House and Techno. 

He first started getting experience in House music and rhythms in the mid 1990s, a passion for the music that lead him into performing his very first mixes as a DJ in private, underground parties.

His love for Electronic music expanded while working on his very first studio projects in the early 2010s, which quickly attracted the interests of labels like Change Audio, Modu and Lynx Records. This has continued right up to the present day, Simos can now count top class releases on labels like Proton, UV/FSOE, Sudbeat, Clubsonica , Beatfreak Recordings and Movement Recordings. These tracks receive great support from the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Cid Inc, Guy J, Sasha, John Digweed and more! 

The last year has seen important gigs starting up in the Greek scene, in the north such as Movement Events @ Block33 (Thessaloniki), and Bloque Festival(Kavala). Here Simos shares the decks with artists from around the world including Guy J, Moshic, Luis Junior, Scotty A, Navar, Estroe and more.

Nowadays, Simos gets busy working on limited and well-focused studio projects, as well as these gigs around the country. There is news and projects to be seen and heard in the near future, so keep an eye on him!

PFG The Progcast - Episode 141 - Simos Tagias

Hello Everyone and welcome! You are in tune to the PFG Progcast, where every Wednesday we take you around our global dance floor searching for the best exclusive beats we can find! 

We've taken a trip across The Black Sea to a brand new destination on our travels, as we say 'Barev Hayastan' and the home of another rapidly rising star of 2022. It goes without saying that this super-talented artist is having a brilliant year so far, and for us to capture a moment in that year makes us very happy indeed.

Originally dubbed as Armenia’s top electronic music export back in the late ‘90s by Zrutsaser Entertainment Magazine, Ruben is now definitely considered as one of the heavy hitters in the Progressive House community worldwide. In a short space of time Ruben's work has become highly sought after, and has spread across the world to our scene's top labels, DJ's and Producers. 

This year alone has seen a quantum leap in Ruben's forward development, the peak of which includes Hernan Cattaneo supporting his remix of "Journey to Arion" on Strangetown Recordings, at BNP OpenLife Forja earlier this year, and supporting DJ Ruby at the recent ADE conference in Amsterdam. 

Further remixes on labels like UniVack, Transensations, Manual MNL And Massive Harmony have continued to expand Ruben's portfolio, and aside from his current discology, he also has two brand new tracks currently doing the rounds, slated for release on the fabled Mango Alley, early next year! 

All of this has caught the attention of our scenes DJ elite, with Ruben's music focussing the minds of Nick Warren, Paul Thomas, JOOF, DJ Ruby, Danny Bonicci and Hernan Cattaneo, to name a few!!

PFG The Progcast - Episode 142 - Ruben Karapetyan

Hello everyone and welcome to PFG's infamous Progcast! Every Wednesday we transport our listeners to another dance music hot-bed, promising first class service and an exclusive mix! This week we are back in the warm Melbourne sunshine, and the studio of another music mad citizen. Loaded with exclusives and unreleased tracks, PFG make some noise for James Beetham! 

For more than 15 years, James Beetham has been pursuing a unique blend of Progressive House, breaks and techno as a DJ, Producer/Engineer, radio host and label boss. 

James presence in the progressive electronic music scene is felt far and wide - wether it be through his monthly radio show Friction on the internationally renowned Proton Radio, or through his globally recognised progressive house label, Late Night Music. 

With a life long love of Progressive House music underpinning everything he does, James' ability to connect with an audience has seen him perform to dance floors across Australia, championing his sound at iconic festivals, clubs and warehouse parties. 

James studio original productions and remixes have received widespread support from industry giants such as Nick Warren, Anthony Pappa, Subandrio, Jamie Stevens, Kasey Taylor, Nicholas Rada, Praveen Achary, Sonic Union, Maceo Plex ... while artists such as Molosh, Zocher, Babicz, Rill and Loco & Jam have all remixed his work. 

His ear for sound sees James working professionally as an engineer at his own 4Sound studio - while also working out one of the southern hemisphere's most well regarded audio workshop's - JTB Deluxe Mastering Facility - helping artists to perfect their mix and achieve their musical vision in the studio. 

Career highlights so far include 2021's release 'Zenticle' with fellow Melbourne electronic music artist Liam Sieker which received huge industry plaudits, and this year's 'Silicon' EP, his second, which not only featured in Guy Mantzur/ Guy J's epic Loveland set, as well as being featured on Cattaneo's "Resident"  #597.

We are delighted to welcome back today's DJ behind our infamous decks. Born and raised in the hotbed of north west England, our artist today has been a member of PFG since its very conception, regularly attending events with us, and has become an invaluable member of our community.

John has been spinning cross genre sets since 1991 in various clubs throughout the North West of England. Starting with a love of playing early breaks, hardcore and Belgian techno before embracing the progressive house sound and concentrating on this throughout the 90’s and beyond.

During the 90’s he amassed an amazing collection of some 9000+ records! John took a break in 2000 to focus on family life but got back into DJing in 2009 and has held residencies at several online radio stations since that time. 

A set from John blurs the boundaries of House, Progressive and Techno to provide a unique journey. He tries to bring tracks that haven’t found mainstream appeal to the decks and is keen to take the listener on a journey. Delighted to have John back with us, after being one of our very first podcast artists over 2 years ago. ENJOY THE MIX!

PFG The Progcast - Episode 146  - John Roberts

Hello everyone and welcome on board! This is the PFG Progcast, your exclusive mid week mission around Planet Progressive, join us today, let's see where we land! 

Our travels take us to the US of A, and the home of a DJ thoroughly embedded into our scene. Label boss of a number of our scenes most prestigious marques, our artist today has all the fingers in all the right places, please make some noise for Jerry Chiu!

Label owner and DJ, Jerry Chiu first discovered electronic music in the early 90s and was influenced by bands such as Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode and The Prodigy.

It wasn’t until the early 2000s when he learned how to DJ and grew inspiration for the Progressive House genre after attending events in San Francisco. Since then, he has made guest appearances on Internet Radio Shows on Frisky Radio, Proton Radio, and DI.FM. 

In 2014 Jerry contributed massively to the global dance scene with the launch of his own label Droid9 Recordings. In the years since it has featured the best and upcoming progressive house artists and DJ's from all around the world. 

These days you can find Jerry DJing at local San Francisco clubs such as Public Works, The Great Northern and The Midway.

PFG The Progcast - Episode 147 - Jerry Chiu

Hello everyone and welcome to the infamous PFG Progcast, your weekly mission around Planet Progressive. Every week we search around the world to bring you the most exclusive DJ sets we can muster, and for the last one of 2022 we head north from our Dublin HQ up to Bangor (NI). Our DJ today is another PFG member who has been raving, playing and travelling with us from the very beginning. A much loved member of our community, and a fantastic DJ too, please welcome Reece Rodgers! 

Reece Rodgers has been DJing from the tender age of 13 years old, since being introduced to the dance music scene in the mid 2000's. Inspired in the main by Sasha & Digweed, Reece has took this skill across various bars and clubs in Northern Ireland for the last 14 years. His most notable gig to date came when he was asked to warm up "Lush" main room before Sasha, in Portrush in September 2017, a gig which bought him valuable focus and experience for future dates. 

Sasha was also so impressed with Reece's mixed version of LNOE 100, that he heavily promoted and re-tweeted it too, and you can hear this set online too. 

Reece has also DJ'ed to thousand of people in Belfast's Titanic Quarter and while on a years working holiday, played at various bars and clubs in the Sydney area, back in 2014
  
Post pandemic, Reece has stepped away from the raving side of the scene to focus and concentrate on regular DJ work, and has gained a great residency in a great local venue (Harbour & Co. Donaghadee)Here, he gets to play a nice mix of Organic, Deep and Funky House, mixed in with Soul to create a cool laidback vibe.

'I hope you all enjoy the mix, I thoroughly enjoyed compiling & recording it. I basically dug back across a full decade and the bulk of it is a nice combination of breaks/melodic techno/electronica and hopefully it's just what you're needing as our festive spirit dims away for another year 🙂

PFG The Progcast - Episode 148 - Reece Rodgers

Welcome, Bienvenidos, Willkommen, Bienvenue! Wherever you are on Planet Progressive, hello again! This is, and will always be your exclusive weekly Progcast from PFG, and as we begin 2023, our search for the DJs and Artists to provide them for you continues unabated. 

New year, New DJ! Pressing home our remit of looking for a new wave of talent, we've travelled to the other side of the world this week and found one. Although in the game a while now, he's maybe not someone you know of. We aim to help change that.. make some noise for Tasman ! 

Tasman (Rohann) is a DJ and Producer based in Auckland, New Zealand, who is highly focused on finding great tunes and an ear for new sounds. 

With over 20 years collecting, playing and indulging in electronic music, Rohann has a passion for well made and constructed music and an ear for quality. Over the years he has DJ'ed at many of Auckland’s clubs, and been involved with supporting international talent. DJ's such as Danny Howells, Martin Roth and Phil K have had Rohann warm their crowds for them.

His sound has been greatly influenced by the underground legends you all know so well, while adding his own twist to it. He has been making steps into the production process in the past few years, and had success with tracks released on labels such as Future Avenue and Stazis. 

More releases are planned for 2023 with both Future Avenue and Polyptych Limited too, so keep an eye out. Overall his goal is to create soundscapes to move you both inside and out.

Maria Pedraza aka ALMA(AR) is a DJ/Producer from Rosario in Argentina. ALMA's work captures the crowd's attention with an avant-garde style in her mixes, combining Progressive, Deep and Melodic house, and a characteristic groove in her productions. Her signature style fuses hypnotic melodies to Afro-Cuban percussions, creating tracks such as 'Absence of Light' released on Shine.

Her music has seen life on labels such as La Cura de la Semana, Droid9, Shine Music Label & Nube Music, consistently hitting high positions in charts with support from the masters like Alejo Gonzalez, Nick Muir & Hernan Cattaneo.

Dylan Deck is the most prolific Progressive DJ/Producer in the Maltese Isles. Born in 1986 he started his DJ career at the young age of 16 and has since made a name for himself, with a passion and determination to grow bigger.
 
Dylan started producing music in 2016 and has since released on quality record labels such as Mango Alley, Modern Agenda, Balkan Connection, Droid9, Kitchen records to name a few. His music is supported by top international DJs like Ferry Corsten, Hernan Cattaneo, Miss Monique and many more. Dylan's productions are constantly hitting the hype charts.

In 2018 he started his own club nights and created his own one off concept named “Connect”. Patrick Sunna aka Bynomic saw his potential and determination and appointed him as the A&R manager of Another Life Music a record label based in Switzerland.

This week we take our inaugral visit to Sweden, and her capital Stockholm, one of Europe's most vibrant cities. Here we find an extremely vibrant and talented artist, one who has certainly been making big moves in our scene over the last 12 months. The rising star from Stockholm, EMPHI, also known as Johan started his musical journey at an early age having musicians in the family. He’s now paving the way with his personal progressive and melodic touch. 

Approaching three years since his debut, the Swedish artist has continued to build an impressive resume. Since he entered the progressive house scene, he has made a mark with his signature melodic approach to percussion filled anthems with steady grooves and flows. With monumental support from all around the world he exceeds expectations with every release.

Making 2022 his breakout year, debuting on leading labels within the progressive house-scene, EMPHI is now ready to showcase what he has been preparing in his Stockholm-based studio. 

This mix is compiled to show the evolution of his sound, taking you on a journey through his favourite tracks right now and own material, to be released during 2023.
