PREMIERE | Vellkhan - Silence Reigns [CROCUS]

Welcome back to another Transmission broadcasting from the HER 他 Transmission Mix Series, our mix series showcasing amazing artists from around the world. For this edition, we bring you a mix from @djeity

Della Orrey (she/they) is a Tiohtià:ke - Mooniyang - Montréal based music composer and sound designer who founded Public Deity Records in 2024 seeking to investigate the post pandemic landscape of the music/recording industry while establishing their emerging artist catalog under the moniker Djeity.

Genre bending and sonic world building with technology is the medium that Djeity utilizes while exploring themes of identity, healing and the modern expanse of blackness.
Djeity's first single "Sibon" was inspired by classical music juxtaposed with the vibrancy of underground club culture.

The project’s second release is a remix of CDMX’s César Ch. and con secuencias “Diatomea Generator” featuring earthquake sound design emerging listeners to dwell on the celebration of overcoming a sense of being buried alive while the music drives forward to a dance floor hypnosis.

2025 is a year of development including live curation, developing an interactive immersive live A/V performance, and inter-disciplinary collaboration with creative entities to produce the ever expanding Djeity universe.

A veritable shapeshifter of a tune, boss man Steve’s latest morphs and melds, mixes and mutates, making merry mischief made for maximum musical momentum.

‘Be Happy’ can be read in many different ways – suggestion, request, even instruction. In this instance, let us not over-analyse – what we’re dealing with is a multi-faceted humdinger of a house tune whose very raison d’etre is to induce a state of happiness.

Steve deftly manipulates layer upon layer of elements into a euphoric and cohesive whole. Riffs tease then erupt, bass burbles and bounces, percussion cracks then takes a pause, ushering in a breakdown for the ages. ’Be Happy’ is by turns simple yet complex, busy then stripped back, heads down chugger meets hands in the air anthem.

Ultimately it delivers big time on its titular promise – and for that we can all be thankful…and, indeed, happy.

Bara W is a Stockholm-based DJ & Event Organizer. Being passionate and involved in the music scene since younger days, Bara W has evolved to be a well recognized DJ and event organizer in the past 10+ years and built a well respected name for himself in the underground and commercial music scene both in Europe and The Middle East.

Bara W now regularly performs at Techno and Trance major and underground events for many promoters such as Demandsthlm, Technostate, Mondaybar, 420 Group. As well as well recognized clubs: Slakthuset, Slaktkyrkan, and big festival venues. He regularly hands the stage to and performs alongside big names such as: Bart Skils, Cosmic Boys, Lilly Palmer, Marhu, Astrix, MVMB, Thomas Scumacher and many more.
