Third and final EP from my „Lost Ideas” series is out everywhere!
We’re wrapping up this journey through some of my previously unreleased tracks with a chapter full of ambient and mysterious sounds which were hiding on my PC waiting for this moment. It’s definitely from the more experimental side of my work, so I wonder how you’ll guys receive it.

Welcome! I’m Jeff Chapman, a keyboardist, composer and producer from Lakewood, Colorado. I’m also a long-term resident of Japan, and currently live in the Nagoya area.

All of the works I feature on this channel are original compositions. I’ve had the great fortune of working with exceptional musicians from around the globe, including session players here in Japan, Los Angeles, Stockholm, Nashville and beyond. Be sure to follow these musicians too if you like what you hear!

Some of my early influences and favorite musicians include Keith Emerson, Howard Jones, Asia, Genesis and King Crimson; but I’ve also appreciated classical music by Brahms, Ravel, Bach, Chopin, Satie and Bartok, as well as the film scores of John Williams, John Barry, Hans Zimmer and so many more. Before coming to Japan, I studied jazz at music school in Los Angeles, and am constantly amazed by the technique and sounds of Phineas Newborn Jr., Pat Metheny and Lyle Mays, and many more artists too numerous to name. Music is all around us if we take the time to listen!
