At-Tahrim is the sixty-sixth chapter of the Holy Qur'an, consisting of 12 verses. It is a vital Medinan Surah named "The Prohibition" after the opening verses where God gently admonishes the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) for prohibiting something lawful upon himself merely to please his wives.

The Surah’s core theme is the preservation of the Prophet's dignity, the importance of sincere repentance, and the principle that religious accountability is strictly individual, regardless of one's proximity to a prophet or saint.

Key Themes in Surah At-Tahrim include:

* Repentance and Family: Commands the believers to sincere repentance (*Tawbah Nasuha*) and warns them to guard themselves and their families from the Hellfire.

* Parables of Women (Individual Accountability): Providing two sets of historical examples:
    1. The wives of Noah and Lot (who were close to prophets but went to Hell due to their disbelief).
