A new artist partnership to grace the Proton Music catalogue, TOBO & Baksta join forces on "Dreamer". A pair of remixes come courtesy of the iconic Nick Muir and progressive heavyweight, Dave Leck. Australian duo, TOBO & Baksta have been staples of the club and festival circuit around their homeland. Originally from Cairns in Northern Queensland, the duo have lit up the stage at the St Kilda and Comfort Creek Festivals in Victoria and at Skypark in their hometown. As part of the DEPTH roster, the duo has been creating cinematic experiences in some of Australia's breathtaking natural locations. A nascent production career has seen production work hit the likes of Smash Bang Records and Recovery Collective, as TOBO & Baksta now debut on Proton Music. "Dreamer" is a beautifully constructed Progressive House track that revels in a deep chord progression against a hefty kick and delicate percussive top-line. Rising and falling with ease, space is made for the free-flowing melody to evolve as counterpoint synth lines and growling bassline come to the fore in the second half to create a subtle energy and melodic dynamism.

A renowned and hugely respected figure in the history of underground dance music, Nick Muir became a household name after his work with John Digweed under the Bedrock name and almost 300 credits on Digweed's label of the same name. After appearing on Danny Boyle's "Trainspotting" soundtrack, and with production credits for club classics like "Heaven Scent" and "Emerald" to his name, Nick's work for Proton Music has continued to grow. Original EPs in the shape of 2023's "All One Word" and October 2025's "Eyes Up" have been supported by remixes for Rick Pier O'Neil, Sebastian Sellares, Eric Lune and Luke Mandala, seeing the UK artist continue to reach the upper echelons of modern Progressive House. With his trademark retro vibe, the Nick Muir remix of "Dreamer" takes the central melodic chords of the original and creates an effortless deep house cadence that meanders delicately across its 7-minute duration. A hefty bassline groove adds club-friendly vibrancy in another interpretation that showcases the UK star's versatility.

Melbourne-resident, Dave Leck sees music at the very centre of his life. An artist with a double century of credits, his work for Soundteller, 3rd Avenue and Emotional Content Recordings have shown a mature production sound, while work for Particles has witnessed a quartet of original EPs through "Stardust", "Primal Connection", "Elevate" and "Opal", plus remixes from GMJ & Matter and Kamilo Sanclemente. Remixing Nick Muir's "Eyes Up" for Proton Music in October 2025 was another notable career highlight as Dave Leck takes "Dreamer" on a suitably high-calibre journey through hallmark progressive soundscapes. Full of rhythmic verve, familiar melodies glisten and shine above a rolling percussive groove and deep, resonant kick. A syncopated bassline pattern adds further depth and dynamism before pulsating pads and a beautifully textured landscape reach new heights in a second half to showcase Leck's considerable skillset.

"Dreamer" sees TOBO & Baksta create a vision of rare melodic beauty, ably supported with remixes from Nick Muir and Dave Leck.

Dave Leck is a Melbourne-based electronic music producer and performer known for his sublime and magical progressive sounds that blend elements of Progressive House, Melodic House, Breaks, and Chillout. With a dedication to delivering consistent, high-quality music that retains dance floor essence while staying true to his signature emotive sound and melodic sensibility, Dave has become a rising star in the industry.

Since 2016, Dave's productions have gained attention and support from industry heavyweights such as Solarstone, Hernan Cattaneo, Mariano Mellino, Andrea Cassino, Alec Araujo, Fernando Ferreyra, and Ricardo Piedra, among others. His original tracks "Shine", "Nowhere", and "One Place" have all entered the Beatport's top 100 charts, while his breaks track "Apex" grabbed the #20 spot.

Dave's production work has been released on a variety of record labels, including Sound Avenue, 3rd Avenue, Particles, and Soundteller Records, among many others. His immaculate attention to detail and unrivaled passion for his craft have impressed fans and critics alike, and his unique abilities provide a musical milieu that exists independently from the outside world, frozen in time where sonic expression forms a cohesive bond through the listener's elemental connection to his music.

In addition to his impressive original productions, Dave was also the winner of the Sound Avenue remix contest for the track "Madloch, Subnode - Hybreath". This accolade further showcases Dave's ability to reimagine and transform existing tracks into something truly special.

DJ CYRE is undoubtedly one of the most famous trance artists in Southern Germany - but the guy from Ludwigsburg is not only resident at Proton Club in Stuttgart but can also be seen live all over Germany since 1999: He is a frequent guest DJ at Nature One which is Germany’s most popular festival for electronic music and also at Cosmic Club in Lübeck he regularly ignites a trance firework par excellence. Other highlights in his almost endless list of performances are certainly several guest appearances on Ibiza, in Croatia, at Bootshaus in Cologne, at Kesselhaus in Augsburg, at the Legendary Festival in Wuppertal, the Electronic Lights Festival in Sindelfingen or at Technoclub in Frankfurt. He also took part recently at the world's biggest techno event which is famous Street Parade in Zurich (Switzerland), where he ensured a state of emergency with his unique mixture of trancey goosebump anthems and driving progressive beats.

Besides all the DJ gigs, there is fortunately still a little time left for the studio - because his productions are worth listening to. His first track "Cala Conta" was released in the summer of 2013 on Songbird / Black Hole Recordings and made it directly onto Richard Durand's world-famous compilation "In Search Of Sunrise - Vol.11"! In 2015 this was followed by the successful tune "Ibiza Calling" as a collab with DJ T.H. on Levitated Music / Silent Shore Recordings - this track stayed 10 weeks in the Sunshine Live Charts and was even voted "Future Favorite" in Aly & Fila's FSOE radio show. At the end of 2016 Cyre & DJ T.H. released "Salida del Sol" again on Levitated Music. This tune was supported by all the big names in the scene and was voted Future Favorite (ASOT) and Future Sound (FSOE). Then two years later the energetic "Cyre & Christian K. Remix" for the legendary track "U96 - Das Boot" was released. His current songs, such as "Destino Eivissa", "Chasing Shadows" and "Mountaineer" also have a large fan base.

Currently, the simpatico trance lover from Swabia has just finished his latest single "Don’t Wait", which will be released soon on the major label Black Hole Recordings. So things remain exciting!

Gunther is a Beirut-based DJ and producer widely recognized as one of the pioneers of underground electronic music in the MENA region. From Beirut, he helped shape the early movement of minimal, techno, and underground house across the Middle East at a time when most clubs in the region were dominated by commercial dance and trance.
His musical journey moves fluidly from ambient and deep house to hypnotic techno, always guided by a deep commitment to underground culture and sonic exploration.
