Es war eine wunderbare Gelegenheit, zum ersten Mal mit ABSTHRAX (Absentia's Tracks) zu beginnen und stetig zu beschleunigen. Vom chilligen Intro, über 120er Off-Beats, bis hin zu Trance und Psychedelic Trance von 130bpm..

Anschliessend an meine eigenen Tracks, lass ich das Tempo ziemlich plötzlich ansteigen auf 140bpm und später 142bpm im klassischen psytrance style, der für Manchen vielleicht sogar etwas zu kitschig daherkommt..
😏 Aber es hatte ja schliesslich auch Frauen auf dem Floor. Da gehören ein paar schöne Melodien mit ins Set.. 😁

Vielen Dank für die sensationelle Anlage im paradiesischen Garten. Man muss nicht gross sein, um ein Standard HK-System in den Boden zu stampfen.. Eines meiner freudigsten Mix-Set's.. So klar habe ich meine eigenen Tracks noch nie gehört!!!

“From 2016-2022 I was just using this page (originally titled "Tryptamang") to show my amateurish experimentations/demo's using Ableton intro, a 2012 Macbook & ATH-M40x’s. In 2023 (After losing this first laptop to old age along with almost all my pre 2021 projects) I've finally obtained a fresh MacBook & Ableton suite so now plan to single handedly produce, mix, master & release my multi-genre debut album! I am sure i have lived in the past and am still living now a parallel life in a higher dimension, full of noises that become sounds, of sounds that become music, of music that becomes emotions, of deep emotions that becomes memories, personal introspection, psychic self-medication, ability to foresee.

At 6 years old i started playing my mother's piano and simple flute, than transverse flute in lower secondary school. My first great teacher was Don Floriano, a priest crazy for music, director of orchestra where i played among other wind instruments. I also had a guitar at home and soon discovered i liked putting my fingers on the strings too. My mother was a music teacher and made me listen to many of her classical music records. It was lucky for me to be able to have musical explanations at any time, but she didn't know how to play guitar that i was increasingly interested in. I still listen to my mother's records.

Around 13-14 years old i had a very important new music INPUT:

> I was accompanying my uncle for work  by car near Padova (i think Este or Colli Euganei!?) when he stopped near ..disco!? where a rock band was starting "sound check" before the show; so i have had the opportunity to listen them playing live fom my first time, vox!, two guitars!!, bass!!! I vaguely remember my uncle laughed about the name of the band, i think Serena, because "Serena" in English can be translated as "calm" but that music was ROCK! It could be they were the Serena Rock Band at the beginning, just born in 1982.

> I was so interested in the rock music i asked Gabbia Dischi shop for advice on purchasing a rock album. They sold me Genesis (the twelfth album by English rock band Genesis - album released 3 October 1983). The first time i listened Genesis i was alone with headphones at home and after the first song i got up to drink afraid to listen the second song. Genesis left a very deep mark on me.

These events left me stunned. How hard those distorted guitars! what sounds! the bass impressed me, vibrations drilled me.  
So much to learn too! So.. New school. New friends. New music informations. New words to understand ..metal, heavy, hard, speed, rock, prog, psycadelic, distortion, ampli, effects, to play live.. 

I am very grateful to my "special" and long-time friend Carlo Bonollo for introducing me to heavy metal & hard rock. The same goes for Marco Foccoli who also introduced me to play bass.

A day i started to play my acoustic guitar like a bass without last two strings. I was in the bedroom of Marco Ferrero, great drummer today and in the past with Asgard after SPLEEN, where our adventure begins (1983) and where he had a BIG drums. Soon i bought my first bass for 50,000 lire (25 euro), a bone i would say now, but it had only 4 BIG strings and it was electric! 

We founded this rock bands: 

1984 > Visual Prime (Luca Rubaltelli vox, Antonio Marchitelli guitar, Gabriele Ferretti piano)

1985 > WithHer (Hermer vox, Marchitelli guitar)

1986 > SestoSenso (Vincenzo Vic vox, Alberto Cecchinato guitar, Gabriele Ferretti piano)

1987-1991 > SPLEEN (Francesco Gepoli vox, Andrea Maso guitar, Guido Bettinelli guitar). 

SPLEEN have been playing prog music together for 5 years; i think Marco and i have become a reliable rhythmic base over time, skilled in handling compound rhythms; we were a solid foundation to build prog around guitars distortions lines of Andrea and Guido, complexity of rhythms not standard, unconventional musical movements, fantasy. We improved also our skills with Enzo Carpentieri's lessons. I remember everything, one of the most intense and productive period of my life. Two and a half hours of music produced, only SPLEEN music, a lots of live concerts, late nights, real rock sounds. Awarded by Enrico Ruggeri at PadovaFiera 1990 for best sound.
Andrea Maso was the leader of the band with his a distorted and fluted guitar sound, a very skilled composer, a very important vocal support, lover of Irish atmospheres and mists, a friend.

Over the years i played, composed and arranged progressive rock, italian rock, psychedelic music, electronic music, reggae and afro music.

1993
I founded Meridies with my great songswriter, musician, poet and best friend Fabrizio Carbognin. Strange years of change, those. I think i played and composed the most wonderful italian rock music of my life with Fabrizio Carbognin (vox), Sergio Marchesini (piano) and Massimo Aiello (drums) but ..it can only remain all inside me. I'm sure it was wonderful for everyone, also for my father who rarely stopped to listen my music.

2006
I started to study a new instrument, i thought xilophono. Instead luck allowed me to meet a balafon (african xilophono) and an original Griot from Burkina Faso, Kalifa Diarra, my best african musician friend. I owe a lot to him for my knowledge about african music, origin of blues in Mali, sacred instruments such as balafon. I took many lessons with him so to start soon playing live with my new instruments. Over time I had fun playig balafon and N'Goni live with a lot of african musicians. It was very exciting to support alone the melody among 10 powerful percussions around me with my N'Goni distorted in a old ampli Roland Jazz Chorus120! But even more beautiful is finding your own internal harmony when I play it acoustically before going to sleep or after a stressful day.

I write, perform, record music to take care of myself every day immersing myself in my musical dimension or to have fun with friends; also because is very deep to communicate feelings through sounds, vibrations, colorful waves. I think music is the most powerful communication system which can be used by humans. It can be simple for everyone like clapping or whistling but it can be raised to higher levels too, like science, art, abstract form with real meaning, personal tool for spiritual formation and psychic self-medication what i feel most.

I am currently working in a new unexpected Trap project experimenting with my afro sounds and my son who is asking me beats:) so ..i couldn't miss the Trap now! But even because i see young musicians with a great desire to communicate with new ways of writing, singing lyrics, thinking beats and words. WOW! i respect them.

Usually i play all my musical instruments accumulated over the years: NGoni, drums, bass, balafon, piano, guitars, flutes, contrabass, african violin, harmonica. As a computer scientist i have also skills to handle synths that i love, DAWs, drums machines or manage hardware&software. I also attended mixing and master courses to enhance my knowledge of my small but precious home studio recording.

This project took me 2 years. I played endlessly, without getting tired. I invited exceptional musicians to play with me, unknown but certainly professional artists. I built synts and drum lines above real acustic sounds recorded in my studio in Padova but also in Burkina, created and arranged everything as i wanted, mixed and mastered as i wanted. I gave everything at that time. In this musical work i was completely free. I only did what i felt deeply inside me, without external interference of any kind. I also tested myself, my skills, my maturity, my sensitivity. I did it for myself and this is the result. I would say i feel satisfied. Also i like to think i can leave my little mark in history. Then ..just unexpectedly seeing my kids and their friends listening and dancing my music ..it was like having sold a million vinyl records!!!

Honestly, i will never be able to get off this dimension where the sounds are colors, the precision is sensitivity and the time is breath.

ABSTHRAX (5.10.1977)

When Michael first discovered the original "August Förster" piano in grandma and grandpa's house as a young boy, he was hooked. His loving parents immediately recognized their son's talent for music and supported it from the beginning.
Since you could not learn to play the electric guitar or drums in the 1st grade, i.e. at about 7 years of age, the trumpet was the most impressive instrument and his future trumpet teacher Peter Roschi presented it with a huge amount of space. For Michael, it was clear that the trumpet should be the first one.
After 2 years of basic lessons and knowledge of sheet music as a threesome, we then went to the ensemble of the Kadettenmusik Aarau. There he learned in an impressive way how a small orchestra is structured and how incredibly strong the power of music can be when you play and live it together. He was immediately hooked...
When the "August Förster" suddenly stood at his home, there was no stopping him. Every day he needed his piano ritual, played all the songs he liked without any trained knowledge of the keyboard, only by ear. At the same time, it was a kind of meditation early on. This piano will accompany him and his brother, who has been blessed with the same musical talent, for a long time to come.
Whether piano, cornet, trumpet or trombone, Michael tried out many things during this time. This partly ended at the age of about 14, as he met the cool guys in high school who really wanted to found a band. Guns'n'Roses, AC/DC, Metallica and whatever they are called, were very trendy at the time, the hair was long, and the guitars hung low.
Luckily, his father Markus still had an old "Framus" electric guitar. From then on, the electric guitar was his main instrument and the first band was founded at the age of 14. In total, Michael played the electric guitar in 3 different main bands and various side projects until he was about 30 years old, in the latter also bass or drums.
Cubase1 was also developed at that time and first insights into electronic music in the studio of friends were possible. 
Through the S.U.N Project, which produced the music style "GOA" with distorted guitar and drums, Michael found his way into the previously hated, dead and lifeless computer music. Luckily, there was this studio. From now on, DJ was the order of the day. At that time, this was only possible with vinyl and you still had to travel long distances to get to your shards.
He became a resident DJ at the GoaSpaceGroup and often DJed with his brother at various Goa parties. At some point, however, the good music was only released on CDs and since there was no money for players, and at that time the digital computer world was still too far away for Michael, the end of Dj Absentia came for the time being. The position in the band was more important anyway and the energy of the five on stage was also much more intense. Until the age of 30, he played in the last band. As is so often the case, an argument led to one of them packing his things and leaving.
Then family and everything around it became so important that Michael didn't notice how his musical talent was absolutely unused and forgotten, slowly atrophied. A deep spiritual wound arose quite unnoticed. In between, he was in the studio at "Sphenoid music" and took a lot of know-how with him from this time, got to know all the Fabfilters and other plugins, including Cubase. In itself, watching the champion for hours was really good. The joint project "Plasma" did not work for very long, but it was still very rich in learning.
Through further training in the graphic planning of horticulture, Michael really made friends with the computer for the first time and later Dj Absentia was also gradually raised from the dead. Sphenoid helped him understand Traktor and Beatport. Thanks to the close contacts to the "Reisefieber" crew, he has the opportunity to mix at various parties. But as in the past, a musician simply notices the difference. Mixing alone is not enough.
It was only when he bought a hybrid western guitar with nylon strings with cut away at the age of about 37 and began to sing and play the old songs that were all still in his head on his own in the style of a singer-songwriter, he experienced again the lost magic and meditation that he once felt directly in analogue direct music through vibration on and in his own body. The tears flowed by the liter in the early days, it was his salvation. He had rediscovered an important form of meditation that he will now practice forever. The learning effect has also been huge since then and does not seem to stop.
It was only with the death of his father and the little inheritance that Michael decided to afford a DAW that can hardly be topped in terms of performance. Now it was time to take the helm into our own hands digitally. Only after a few sobering results, feeling "at home" on the DAW and watching some good video tutorials, did he get to know certain blueprints for floor plans and foundations of song structures, which has developed into the 1st small milestone.
However, what is needed first and foremost is the time and space for inspiration. This is a bit difficult, especially in the summer months. But he will now produce music for the rest of his life and learn a lot along the way. How close one release will be to the next remains to be seen. But it comes!!
