On 18-05-2024 it was time for the third installment of BlasTTek. 
This edition featured Vox Fabri and Mad Scientist on the line up and this set was scheduled between those acts. 

I set out to make a 90minute journey on the overlap between Tekno/Darkpsy/Hitech/Psycore and Slambient. It features an eclectic selection of weird, groovy and hard hitting tracks all of them unique in their own way. Check out this madhouse of a tracklist!

Psycore Tekno Dark Experimental Dj Set @ Blasttek II (165-210)

Good times playing at No Room Ritual in Sevilla, Spain [02-11-24]
Original playtime was set for 0800 in the morning but due to last minute issues with the permits (orga handled it super and managed a plan B location the next, big ups for No Moon Crew) the new playtime was 1600-1800 in the afternoon. 

Expect a 'full send' in the all the corners of Psycore-Dark Experimental-Slambient genres. Did not hold back on the weirder more abstract sounds and finally managed to place some older tracks that I never found a perfect place for. BPM is relatively low with many outstanding low bpm Slambient tracks and 'sunny dance floor' oriented ritual tracks.

Recording of my set on Hai in den Mai Festival 2025. 
Played on Sundaymorning between 0400 and 0600 on the Hilltop stage. 

This slot was at the end of the last night of the festival, and it was after Audionimus and Okklumentim. The timing allowed me to go all in on the madness! Expect a wild ride of Psycore and Slambient, peaking around the 'Fucking Mindless' track. Afterwards the sun started coming up and it transitions into morning style Psycore and Experimental tunes fitting for early morning hours. Was amazing to bring these tracks to the freaks in Germany!

IDIOBLAST a.k.a. Mats Weel, born in 1989, had his first experience with fast psychedelic music in 2011. Instantly intrigued by how the high BPM music affected his state of mind, he started collecting music fanatically. After graduating Academy of Fine Arts in 2012 he spend numerous years experimenting with different art forms. It was not until early 2017 that he discovered his true passion behind the decks. Because of his education he has a conceptual approach to his sets and a focus on thematic track selection. He aims to deliver polished and energetic sets, and tries to find a balance between variety and coherency. 

Founded Amsterdam Blast Events in 2019.
