For my third mixtape, Labil Mix 03 (Live at Hive 2024), I captured the essence of my recent live performance at Hive, blending the energy and vibe of that night into a dynamic set. This mix brings together a variety of tracks that I played during the gig, delivering a raw, high-energy journey through techno’s powerful landscapes. It’s a reflection of the atmosphere and intensity that shaped the dance floor that night, where the crowd's energy drove every beat.

Staying true to the Labil mit Stil spirit, this mix blends hard-hitting basslines and driving rhythms with moments of hypnotic, melodic immersion. It’s a seamless progression from my previous work, yet it pushes the boundaries even further, showcasing a diverse range of tracks that fluctuate between relentless power and trance-like euphoria. Ideal for those peak hours when the dance floor is in full flow, this mix not only continues the evolution of my sound but also amplifies it, channeling the live experience straight to your speakers.

Dan Lir has been producing electronic music since 1995 and since he is releasing his tracks in a major international labels.
He played in hundreds of  Venues, and hosted a leading radio show for 3.5 years.
Most of Dan's tracks are melodic and uplifting. 
In his vocal tracks , Dan uses passionate vocalists that sing lyrics that he wrote by himself, and mostly ones that are influenced by his personal life.

I dj what I feel, some days its funky house, other days its melodic or dark and moody. For me, music is emotion. Every set is just a reflection of the mood i'm in that day, that week or that moment.

My Focus:
Industry says: “Focus on one genre to build a fanbase.”
I say: “I’ll master them all.”

My writing isn't meant to be confined to one playlist category. Every moment is a mood, every lyric is a poem, and every song tells a story. I refuse to limit myself. Writing music across genres isn’t just a skill—it’s my passion. I have no desire to change who I am to meet industry expectations.

Where Am I Today?
I can write in any genre, any language, and on any topic. I have access to any instrument and can create with any vocal style—male or female. But at my core, I am a writer, not an entertainer.
I feel timid stepping in front of a microphone—exposing myself vocally is still a challenge. There are skills to master and fears to overcome before I record my own voice or perform live. But I am comfortable behind the DJ decks.

Where Am I Going?
As I navigate my place in the music industry, my goal is to split my music into three primary genres and sign with labels that align with each sound:

Next Steps for Me:

✔ Start publishing behind-the-scenes content
✔ License a song or album to a record label or collaborate with an artist to expose my music and make money

I know social media is necessary, but it’s far outside my comfort zone. Sharing the creative process, the "sauce" behind the songs, feels vulnerable. But I also know that if I want my music to be heard, I need to open that door—even if it’s uncomfortable.

This is my journey. Let’s see where it leads.
