James Rosone began his writing career as a form of PTSD therapy after some of his experiences as an interrogator in Iraq. After exiting the military, he served overseas as a contractor in the sand box, and then transitioned to working in the field of biometrics supporting U.S. European Command. After releasing a number of books, writing changed from a hobby to a career. Now James is working with other veterans to help them find new a purpose as authors. Tyler Vail was born in 1996 in Dallas, Texas. At a young age, Tyler was deeply inspired by fantasy and sci-fi media and would spend many late nights striving to bring his ideas to life in the form of drawings.
He would later refine his skills as an illustrator by joining every art contest he could find, actively participating in online communities, and getting feedback from anyone that would look at his art.

Arthur Haywood was born in 1990 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Arthur's father is Pennsylvania State Senator Art Haywood.  Creating graffiti murals as a teenager with his teacher, Pose 2, inspired him to share his work publicly in murals. Having a father who has organized reading camps as a State Senator, and a mother who has been president of the local school board showed him the influence of reading on the lives of students.  Being an avid reader, who judged books by their covers, led him to sharing stories he loves with others through illustration. He is focused on making book covers, murals for libraries and schools to engage youth in reading.
He earned a B.F.A in Illustration from The Maryland Institute College of Art, before furthering his study of classical art at Cambridge Street Studios in Philadelphia and 
Grand Central Atelier in New York.
His paintings are seen in Space and Time Magazine, murals for the Philadelphia Mural Arts Program, St. Joseph’s University, Elkins Park School, Summer of Soul film, and his book, The Great Library. 
He is a recipient of the 2020-2021 Harriet Hale Woolley Scholarship at the Fondation des États-Unis in Paris. There he developed murals with students at Lycée Paul Lapie, Ecollectif and André Malraux Elementary school depicting students of diverse origins reading and the stories that have engaged them to encourage learning and cultural appreciation.
He is a recipient of the 2022 - 2023 Tulsa Artist Fellowship where he is continuing his series of paintings for public schools and book covers to inspire reading.

Born and raised in Canada, Galen practices law in Toronto and spends his days talking a great deal to a great many people. His family of four, however, confidently assures him the less he says the better. To this end, he more quietly expresses himself by writing stories during his daily commute on the train. When the stranger sitting next to him stops reading over his shoulder, he knows his tale needs a little something extra.

Galen’s fiction has appeared in Galaxy’s Edge and Unidentified Funny Objects. His most recent legal writing may be found in Advocates’ Quarterly, if someone were so inclined.

Newberg, Oregon artist Ms. Gigi Hooper is a winner in the L. Ron Hubbard Illustrators of the Future Contest and was honored along with eleven other artists and twelve other writers at the Taglyan Complex in Hollywood, California on April 25th.  She illustrated the story, "Summer of Thirty Years" by Writers of the Future Winner Lisa Silverthorne.  The illustration and story, along with the other writers' and illustrators' stories and art are published in the international bestselling anthology, L. Ron Hubbard Presents Writers of the Future Volume 40 which will be officially released on May 7th.  

Born in 1985 in East Chicago, Indiana, Peggy Hooper is a versatile artist whose creativity knows no bounds. Known in the art world by her moniker, Gigi Hooper, she's a child of the 90s, drawing early inspiration from iconic pop culture. Simultaneously, Gigi was deeply influenced by the enchanting worlds of books in young adult, children's books, and comic books which have fostered a love for sweet, fantastical, and mind-bending literature. 

Gigi's artistic journey began in her childhood, her experimental nature led her to beautify and unintentionally destroy her mother's personal property. However, throughout her life, Gigi's mother remained her steadfast supporter, purchasing her first set of art supplies, which only continued to encourage her creative process.

While her path took her through diverse careers as a United States Marine and a personal trainer, Gigi eventually returned to her true calling. She completed her degree in Illustration from George Fox University and graduated with a B.A. in the field. Currently residing in Newberg, Oregon, with her husband, Gigi specializes in digital art, collage, and pencil work, although her artistic palette embraces various mediums.

Today, she continues her artistic journey, pursuing independent studies at Watts Atelier while actively engaging in freelance work, bringing her captivating visions to life one creation at a time.

Todd McCaffrey was born to Anne McCaffrey on April 27th, 1956. The then-named Todd Johnson came into the world as a rather precocious middle child. Anyone who questions the precocious part has only to read some of the anecdotes in “Dragonholder” to have any doubt removed. He spent most of his childhood on the East Coast of the USA until moving to Dublin, Ireland with his mother and sister in 1970.

Like most of the boys growing up in the ’60s, McCaffrey became space mad. However, unlike most of the other young men running around their yards in pretend helmets and throwing toy rockets into the air, he was given a “complete” set of the actual Lunar Module Pilot Study Guides in 1968. The number of hours spent devouring them repeatedly from cover to cover is evident in the fact that he has been known to quote excerpts from them during convention panels.

When the time came for him to pursue higher education, McCaffrey attended Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, for a year—and hated it. But he did discover one of the great loves of his life while he was there, computers. He graduated with Honors—or rather, “Honours”—in 1985 from Trinity College, Dublin.

Having never lost his love for space, he left Ireland for Los Angeles, California, in the hopes of working in the aerospace

Steven L. Sears has worked as a Writer, Story Editor, Producer and Creator in Television, Film, digital media and animation. His lengthy career has encompassed over fifteen separate Television series, and development deals with many major studios in the industry, including Columbia Studios, Sony/Tristar Television, Rhysher Entertainment, Artists Inc., Cookie Jar Entertainment, Digital Pictures and many others.  

Steven’s initial foray into professional Television writing came with his hiring as a staff writer on the Stephen J. Cannell Productions hit TV series RIPTIDE, for the NBC Television Network. He followed that up by adding his talents to the writing staff of one of the more popular genre series of its time, THE A-TEAM, also for NBC.

From there, he continued his career by writing and working on such popular series as HARDCASTLE & McCORMICK, JJ STARBUCK, STINGRAY, WALKER-TEXAS RANGER, HIGHWAYMAN, ROBIN’S HOODS, HOLLYWOOD DETECTIVE, FATHER DOWLING MYSTERIES, HARDBALL, GRAND SLAM, JESSE HAWKES, SUPERBOY, S.H.E. SPIES and many other Television favorites. His animation experience includes ITSY BITSY SPIDER, TRANSFORMERS: RESCUE BOTS and working with the legendary animation Director Don Bluth as writer on the short feature THE GIFT OF THE HOOPOE.

Following the 1982 release of his internationally acclaimed bestselling science fiction novel, Battlefield Earth, written in celebration of 50 years as a professional writer, L. Ron Hubbard created the Writers of the Future (writersofthefuture.com) in 1983 to provide a means for aspiring writers of speculative fiction to get that much-needed break. Due to the success of the Writers of the Future Contest, the companion Illustrators of the Future Contest was inaugurated five years later.                                                              

Her passion for art stemmed from her love of books, and the fantastical covers that inspired her imagination.
