Under Minoritetsveckan i Gävleborg 2023 arrangerades föreläsningen ”Att konstruera en nation”, om rasbiologen Herman Lundborgs framträdanden i Gävleborgs län i samband med "Den svenska folktyputställningen" (1919). En presentation utifrån arkivfynd av Anders Wesslén, Arkiv Gävleborg (www.arkivgavleborg.se), och ett samtal med fokus på de nationella minoriteterna och i första hand romer och resande med Sebastian Casinge, Hälsinglands museum (https://halsinglandsmuseum.se) / Frantzwagner Sällskapet (www.frantzwagner.org), och Lars Berglund, tidigare museipedagog vid Hälsinglands museum som forskat om Herman Lundborgs vänner i Hälsingland.

Ett samarrangemang mellan Arkiv Gävleborg, Frantzwagner Sällskapet, Hälsinglands museum, Länsmuseet Gävleborg, Gävle kommun och Region Gävleborg, med stöd av Diskrimineringsbyrån Gävleborg.

Föreläsningen ligger till grund för det här samtalet med Anders Wesslén, f.d. arkivchef på Arkiv Gävleborg. Med arkivhandlingar som utgångspunkt lyfter han fram kopplingar mellan "Den svenska folktypsutställningen" som visades i Gävle under våren 1919, rasbiobiologi och Sveriges nationella minoriteter.
