This is my new edit of the Re-Disco series, I think it doesn't need any further introduction. It's a song from 1980 by a Punk Rock band, it's a track with Hip Hop, Disco and Funk connotations, influences given by the meeting with Nile Rodgers and Chic during their short stay at the Power Station, but with my contribution it became even more disco, a RE-DISCO indeed. Born from a traffic jam on the L.I.E., the track blends rap with martial arts, showcasing “Sensei Dave’s” showmanship in Shorin-Ryu Karate. This edit boosts the original’s energy and playful vibe, infusing the unique fusion of rap and martial arts with the signature we.amps groove.

Following the passing of Dave Allen—bassist, producer, and founding member of Shriekback—I found myself drawn back to this gem from their 1984 Jam Science LP.
This is a quick and dirty re-edit: no extra sounds, just some added delays and reverbs to stretch and echo the weird beauty already there.
It’s meant as an homage, a ritual, and a dancefloor tool—something to remember, to move with, to play loud.
Massive respect to Dave Allen and Shriekback—a band with a sound and vision all their own. Singular. Unrepeatable.

VHS Killed the Betamax Star - Dundee Social Club Mix

A quick cut, paste and re-EQ edit of this wonderful boogie funk track by Janice Bulluck from her 1987 album 'Don't Start A Fire'. The LP version has a short intro so I re-arranged it and also gave the bass some boost as on the original is lacking a lot of low end. It's a fantastic track with a killer breakdown and build up in the middle, the rest of the album is also worth checking with 3 or 4 more good tracks on there.
