THE DROP :: DJ Recordings 002 :: Groovy Tech House

God Bless America. This is my first truly original production. I was inspired from seeing a video of Drew Domalik of Cymatics make a song from recording things around a hospital a few years ago, and the ability of Crankdat to turn viral videos into bangers, and there's lots of unique noises on a warship. The idea for the song came up around May and was a large part of the reason I bought Ableton and have been learning to make songs for the past few months. This song is made entirely of things I recorded around the ship, with some very memorable quotes and sounds from our last patrol. 

- "Bass drum" is chains dragging across the flight deck
- "Snare" is a windshield washer solenoid
- Other sounds include a Bell, a Door Alarm, V-22 rotors, an F-35 taking off, and GQ/CBRN Alarms

The song releases on Noisia's VISION records, and is the opening track on Sorza's 'Pillars' remix album. Sorza & Jukaa started out as D&B duo The Outsiders together, and have since been building their separate solo careers through underground credibility & viral hyperpop bootlegs respectively. This is their first time bringing the solo projects together after the split. A special moment.
