I definitely think this song has a nice vibe to it and works pretty well. However, after not listening to it for a while and hearing it again I noticed that some of the mixing needs work. Unfortunately, it isn't as good overall as some of the previous songs but I guess that is a part of making music and the creative process. Saying, “I’m sorry for how I hurt you,” rather than, “I’m sorry you feel that way,” is powerful. It lowers defenses, breaks down walls, and signals willingness to bridge the gap. When you own your part, you invite your partner to do the same—not with judgment, but with empathy. This creates a safe space where real conversations can grow, and healing can begin.  2. Ask Deep Questions—Listen to Understand, Not to Respond After a conflict, it’s easy to get caught replaying your version of the story in your head—and mentally preparing your next point. But what your partner really needs is to be heard, not debated. Try asking thoughtful, open-ended questions that invite your spouse to share their feelings and needs. For instance:  “What was going through your mind during our argument?” “How did what I said or did affect you?” “What do you need from me so we can move forward?”  Then, listen deeply. That means resisting the urge to interrupt or defend yourself. Listen to understand the emotional experience behind their words. When your partner feels genuinely understood, it breeds connection—not defensiveness—and that shared understanding is the bridge back.  3. Rebuild Connection Through Small Acts of Care Big apologies or grand gestures alone won’t restore what’s lost after conflict. What heals most is consistent, small acts that show you’re present and invested. It could be something as simple as making their favorite cup of coffee, sending a heartfelt text during the day, or suggesting a walk together without distractions. These moments remind both of you that, beyond the disagreement, you’re a team that cares deeply. Consistency is key. When your spouse sees you making an effort day after day, they begin to trust that the connection will hold—even when times get tough.   Conflict Isn’t the End—it Can Be the Start of Something Stronger Conflict doesn’t have to fracture your marriage. The Difference Between Women Who Have High Interest Versus Low Interest

Mike came up with an idea that we should do an acoustic based song.
Concentrating on keeping it sparse and open with a beautiful melody.
The acoustic and vocal melody should carry it through and when I heard his acoustic track I was blown away how gorgeous it sounded.
When you have a great melody to work with, things come easy for writing and vocal melodies. 
I am a bit of a sucker for acoustic based songs because I believe it’s were the basics start. If a song sounds good on an acoustic then it’s a winner.
The song is a reflection on relationships and how  family, friends, work and the rest of the noise outside your door as an effect on our behaviour. It’s leaves you feeling drained at times and you have nothing left to give. You argue about other peoples demands leaving no  time for your own relationship. 
Praying just for a moment of fantastic to enjoy if only brief and waiting to arrive at that place that makes you both happy again. 
I Love the touch of the accordion & strings with Mike stellar harmonies adding the depth. 
I hear so much AI music on Soundcloud these days but real is real and it shows you care to make it real.

This album is the soundtrack for a new generation of believers (ages 18-30) navigating the complexities of faith, dating, and purpose in the modern world.

From the upbeat, synth-driven title track "Heart Like Yours"—a modern anthem about praying for a partner who shares your faith—to the relatable acoustic story of "Coffee Shop Prayer," the album tackles the real-life questions of young Christians. Tracks like "Sunday Morning / Saturday Night" and "FOMO" dive honestly into the struggle of living a life that is "set apart" in a world of compromise, while dance bangers like "Next Chapter" and "Different By Design" celebrate the journey.

Ultimately, "Heart Like Yours" is an upbeat, honest, and high-energy declaration that brings the listener back to their "First Love"—Jesus.

For when I am weak, then I am strong." Think about it—how quick are we to shout from the rooftops all the things we’re good at? Yet when it comes to admitting where we fall short or struggle, we clam up. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the .    Weakness has become a mark of failure or lack, not something to own. But God flips the script:&nbsp;it’s through our weakness that His strength shines brightest. Look inward. Where do you feel weak? Or maybe, where do you want to improve but keep hitting walls? That exact place might be your starting line. When you stop trying to muscle through on your own and instead hand your weakness over to God, that’s when real strength shows up. Your confidence, your forward momentum, isn’t tied up in your skills or willpower. It’s rooted in the unshakable strength that Christ offers generously when you lean in. Paul wasn’t just being spiritual fluff. He was wrestling with real thorns and struggles, yet he found a reason to be grateful—not for the pain itself, but for whose he was. When you come to that place, your weaknesses don’t define you. Jesus does. So challenge yourself: What weakness can you stop fighting against? What struggle can you start handing over? When you do, you’ll find that your weakness isn’t your downfall—it’s the point where God’s power moves in and lifts you higher. This is your moment. Electro-acoustic musician Matthew Paul Menovcik is equal parts composer, songwriter, arranger, producer, multi-instrumental performer, and singer.  It has been said that "...he's not nearly as famous as Gibbard (Death Cab for Cutie), but Matt Menovcik just might be as talented" (Seattle Times). Menovcik has also been hailed as a "top-rate songwriter" (Seattle Weekly). After spending most of the 00’s recording and touring with DIY indie rock acts and collaborations including Saeta, Ms. Led, and ROPE, INC. (with infamous producer Kramer), Menovcik decided to turn his attention to composition and film scoring, while never leaving his roots as a songwriter.
Inspired by minimalism, pop and ambient, Menovcik creates a rich sonic sonic world and a uniquely inspired voice.  Menovcik has released many critically acclaimed albums on labels such as Ghost Records (Italy), Second Shimmy, Tarnished, Ippylu and Fish The Cat. His 2014’s Alone, With You was released under his own name.  The many films featuring Matt’s work and specifically written scores include Silvio Soldini’s Days and Clouds, Cesar Lanza’s La Perfezionista, and Faith Vs. Fate’s Run, Hide, Die (AKA The Anniversary).
Menovcik’s most recent release, In An Enclosed Space, is his first singer songwriter album since Alone, With You. It was two years in the making during which time he experienced the end of a marriage and a world changed by disease and social upheaval. It begins with the words "Turn the lights out in this room, let the darkness wash right over you" and ends with "We just didn't try, just couldn't see a better way to be together." The in-between is filled with the struggle, the pain and the persistence to keep searching for A Hope To Carry On.

Gaz Brownie music projects is a collection of collaborative work from more recent projects to the bands I have played in over the years.
Been singing since the age of 15 in bands and various music projects.
I play guitar on my solo stuff but really only as a vehicle to write songs and finds cords for vocal melodies, and also a little keyboards. 
To date I have recorded and wrote/ co wrote over 200 songs in a professional studio environment, working with established producers . Played endless live gigs with numerous bands and projects.
I have had music published, appeared on TV/radio, Music videos, released albums, Eps and singles, on several different labels. 
Style preference is a indie pop/rock vibe focusing on interesting lyrics, vocal melodies and catchy chorus lines.
