I know smoking is harmful, and drinking too bears its toll. I know that on any street corner, at any gathering of friends or social event, there are those indulging in substances of all kinds; most often, to belong, to feel "right," to secure a place within the fold of acceptance.

In my own musings, I drank, I smoked, as a personal experiment. In each, I unearthed fragments of myself that stretched and warped beneath their influence. I came to embrace the act of drinking as a cherished ritual. I savor the sensations it brings; the way my senses and mind are laid bare yet strangely liberated, allowing silent barrages of thought to flow freely and loudly through the corridors of my consciousness.

It became a quarterly or semiannual celebration, depending on the year's rhythm, where I invite only those carefully chosen; kindred spirits who revel in this shared resonance. Together, beneath the faint aroma of earth and the glow of celestial lights, we gather in parks or quiet alcoves. Here, mere mortals transform into profound sages of geopolitics, astrophysics, microbiology, pseudoscience, and human connection. What may appear as three or four figures laughing under the moonlight from afar are, in truth, distinct minds weaving a collective brilliance, enriching every universe present and triggering cosmic cataclysms in the fabric of primordial atoms.

Alas, I cannot reserve such reverent observations for the act of smoking. To me, it seems to dismantle all that drinking has carefully built, an architect of destruction amidst a scaffold of creation.

Yet, like serendipity itself, this ritual emerges in a different guise, not in words but in melody. a symphony of expression woven into the fabric of existence
