The Nazi Experiment wasn't just an idea. It was an idea put into practice. Putting that idea into practice started with a movement, but it required a totalitarian state apparatus to fully implement, to tremendous disaster. What was Adolf Hitler's real vision for the Nazi State? He makes it plain: the primary, if not sole, purpose of the state is to protect and improve the race. That is, Hitler's state wasn't ethnonationalist as a matter of happenstance but centrally, by design. In that regard, given the realities of Europe and the world, the Holocaust, and additional such racially motivated purges, were completely predictable all the way back to the mid-1920s in Mein Kampf. In this episode of the New Discourses Podcast, host James Lindsay continues his "Nazi Experiment" podcast series with its tenth volume, reading from the second chapter of the second volume of Mein Kampf to show you the horrible reality of the intended Nazi State apparatus in Hitler's own words. As Thanksgiving and its enduring mythologies approach, Jon and Arnie discuss the Trump administration’s ongoing campaign to evangelize white supremacy in the United States and abroad. Invoking Trump’s anti-DEI Executive Orders, federal officials purged a “report on missing and murdered Native Americans” while claiming “countries with diversity policies are infringing human rights.” The cooptation of civil rights rhetoric to undermine civil rights is nothing new. Nor is the strategic use of racism to justify public and private violence against communities of color and to distract impoverished white communities from the source of their material precarity. With limited exception, Democrats remain unable to defuse the GOP’s naked racial politics – including the ongoing weaponization of anti-blackness and Jewish identity – to criminalize dissent, control curricula and crack the Left.

It was one of the most prestigious spaces of the event, filled with Hollywood actors, models, entrepreneurs, team members and pilots. I had the honor of performing the closing set of the day.
The engine sounds you hear throughout the session are real, captured live with a GoPro during the race.
