The recordings were made at frequencies of 11149.0 kHz and 15931.0 kHz. You'll hear one station in each ear, with an added layer of static from 27909.0 kHz. On August 14, 2024, I stumbled upon a unique "drumbeat" - a time signal broadcasting on 5000.0 kHz from Colorado. This rhythmic pulse caught my attention and became the driving force behind this recording. In addition to the time signal, I also captured transmissions on 12613.0 kHz, 28200.0 kHz, and 7255.0 kHz, each adding its texture to the soundscape.

I aimed to capture the serene yet vast feeling of early morning flights and the boundless sky in this piece. The audio, recorded on August 11, 2024, from various frequencies (13264.0 kHz, 5505.0 kHz, 5082.0 kHz, 16705.0 kHz, and 16698.0 kHz), features transmissions from Shannon, Ireland Volmet.

I captured this audio on August 17, 2024, from Voice of Korea on 13760.0 kHz. I reversed the track, duplicated, filtered, modulated, and added interesting bits and pieces from 16500.5 kHz and 7055.0 kHz.

Nightly News

Sometimes, intentionally using the wrong band can be fun. This was recorded on a KiwiSDR system in Austria, on 11534.85 kHz, using IQ mode. It picked up crosstalk between two stations and sounded like a rave at the gates of hell.

This one is essentially unaltered. To add some depth, I added copies of the track on the left and right channels and applied VST effects in Audacity.
