DNB - Spooky Season 2023 - Dj Mix

We kick off our Autumn release schedule by taking no prisoners. We found a glitch in the Matrix. And through this glitch a portal, that once you play Neurofunk Drum & Bass down it, that 2 futuristic cyber soldiers appear,
brandishing heavy drum & bass artillery and plenty of Prawn cocktail crisps for supplies.

What was even more shocking was that the 2 soldiers were future selves of producers `Cyntax` and `The Fi5th` Cyntax handed me over a dusty USB stick. patted me on the shoulder, before nodding to The Fi5th before jumping back down the portal just before it closed.

It took me a while to decrypt the USB but once I had done this, and had gone through its contents. I knew the future of Drum & Bass was in my hands, quite literally. 

The contents... 2 tracks depicting what Neurofunk Drum & Bass would sound like 10 years from now. 

I decided to show a few people, but was warned harshly that people would just not be ready for this type of cyber connected, audio, neuro-lization of the senses.

So it is without further ado, you have been warned before listening to the latest Dirtbox release at your own peril. This will change the landscape as we know it.

We throw on our 4 inch gloves on this one and get ready to smash your teeth down the back of the throat.

Heavy, violent Neurofunk. Catapulting into the first drop with a relentless grip on your nervous system.

Some may recognise this from multiple sets the past 12-15 months from the likes of Zombie Cats and Jade Its ever recognisable synth work flows tremendously across the track and audio programming is a pure 10/10 leaving you bloodied and battered from the Face Pound.

We finish off the release by bringing in extra reinforcements, The exciting sounds of The Fi5th bless this one with techno driving bass and epic synth stabs to disjoin your brain cells in every way possible.

A relentless juggernaut of Neuroscape sounds fill your ears and sends you to a far off place in your mind where you feel the robots have taken over, and this is their soundtrack.

Starting my journey in the vibrant rave scenes of the '90s, I've lived and breathed the evolution of rave music as both a raver and a DJ. Initially known as DJ Karnage from Karnage Sound Systems, I navigated through the killer sounds of Jungle DNB, Reggae, Ragga Jungle, and Ragga Tek. I am a one take Live vinyl & CDJ DJ with no enhancements (aside from the matrix rain). 
Fast forward and now I’m An Agent Smith, continuing my mission to spread the rhythmic gospel. Each Friday and Saturday night, I'm privileged to share the sounds that have shaped my life, connecting past and present beats. 
From the onset, as DJ Karnage to Agent Smith, I've been part of this incredible journey, witnessing the dance music evolution from the very beginning. It's more than just playing tracks; it's about keeping the spirit of the rave alive, sharing the joy of music that has been a cornerstone of my life.

Elliot, born in Barcelona, is an emerging DJ between Barcelona and Girona who has been playing multiple genres within electronic music since 2016. In his career he has performed in renowned clubs in the city such as City Hall, Pacha, M7 and Macarena Club, among others.

Currently, his sets can combine from the purest and freshest House to the most powerful and dark Tech House dosed with Electro and Bass, but ultimately are the groovy sounds which he is most identified with.

It is because Elliot adopts his first name as his artistic name to bring his very own essence and passion for music to the booth, which he undoubtedly delivers to the crowd through his technical skills and versatility on the decks, allowing him to connect with the dancefloor from the very first minute.

Having been Djing since the birth of the UK rave scene in the early 90's  DJ Scottie B has been around since the beginnings of Drum and Bass music, as a resident of the original legendary Silhouettes and Southern Exposure in Cardiff he played alongside DJ's such as Fabio,Top Buzz and Doc Scott and Phantasy. He left the UK in 1998 to travel the world working on Cruise ships. He held down a regular guest slot in Bermuda playing house and breaks during this time whilst also playing beach and crew parties.

After settling down in Edmonton Canada, Scottie B turned back to his first love of breakbeat and Drum and bass music. He now calls Edmonton his home and can be seen playing shows in the city.

He hosts a monthly podcast on www.stressfactor.co.uk that is receiving great reviews and worldwide exposure, the podcast showcases the best in upfront and forthcoming drum and bass releases.

I am primarily a D&B DJ since the late 90s, but I also play 70's Funk and Disco. I have played at events alongside Goldie, Doc Scott, Adam F, Klute, Nicky Blackmarket, Ed Rush & Optical, Randall, Grooverider, Bryan G, Hype, High Contrast, Brockie and more.
I have presented on Ipswich pirate Flex FM, as well as presenting on Ipswich Community Radio since 2000, and have interviewed Marcus Intalex, Klute, Bad Company, BCee and Mark & Clayton of TOV/Renegade Hardware.
