Dialectics (n.) – The art of investigating or discussing the truth of opinions. The discourse between two people holding opposing viewpoints view but trying to establish a common truth through reasoned discussion.

Born out of the renowned, best-selling Yin : Yang label concept, musical discourse is brought to life through the meticulous choices of Tripp Baronner – DJ, curator and full-time member of the Proton team. Presenting “Dialectics,” a monthly show airs on Proton Radio and DI.fm showcasing the finest underground music talent in two contrasting but inextricably linked hours.

Part 1 sees Yin thematically represented while Yang is juxtaposed through Part 2. Intimately interconnected while fluid by design, resident hosts alternate and interchange with guest artists to create a dynamic dialectical discourse.

It is because of his love and passion for Deep House music that Alvaro Hylander keeps moving forward, with every year that passes adding more experience and dedication to the music. Currently based in Denmark, Alvaro hails from southern Spain. Since he started producing in 2005, Hylander has been able to forge a strong connection between his sound and his self as he works on finding a perfect balance of deep, groovy, and organic that has given him his unmistakable sound. Alvaro Hylander's unfaltering efforts in delivering untainted Deep House music has lead him to appearing on various labels alongside heading his own longstanding label, DeepWit Recordings. With many of his tracks making it into various genre  Top 100s in both Beatport and Traxsource, he is a name both recognized and respected in the underground. You can expect nothing but the highest quality productions and sensuous grooves in the coming years from Alvaro Hylander.

Yin and Yang (n.) - the concept of duality forming a whole. A fundamental premise in Chinese philosophy now transposed to the electronic dance industry through the creation of Proton "Editions". Through encyclopaedic knowledge of the 4,000+ strong Proton roster of labels Tripp Baronner has envisioned a new concept of the principle of seemingly polar opposites, coming together as interconnected and independent universal forces - life and death, the dark and the light: one complete entity. 

From a passion for underground progressive house at opposite ends of the audio spectrum - the deep, shadowy atmospheres to the blissful, shimmering melodies, "Yin" and "Yang" were born in an effort to represent this phenomenon in musical form. Each release will provide a single remix of an existing Proton roster track for two inextricably linked labels in the form of a light (Yang) and dark (Yin) edition. Released on the same day, a strong contrast in styles will thus serve to complement each other and nourish the whole.
