Siete premios Grammy ha ganado Randy Brecker (Filadelfia, 1945), un músico que ha contribuido a dar forma al sonido del jazz, el rhythm and blues y el rock durante más de cinco décadas. 
Su trompeta y su fliscorno se pueden escuchar en cientos de discos, como líder de sus bandas o acompañando a estrellas tan diversas como Frank Sinatra, Jaco Pastorius, James Taylor, Bruce Springsteen, Lou Reed, Eric Clapton o Frank Zappa, entre otras. 
Junto a su hermano saxofonista Michael Brecker (1949-2007) lideró durante una década The Brecker Brothers, uno de los grupos de jazz más influyentes de todos los tiempos.
