I've been trying a new technique with Suno:

1. Pick a song, play around ~60 of it, then cut it short abruptly, add silence.
2. Upload the edited track
3. Extend the song from the silence, but change the genre, instruments, etc.

Now it's a brand-new track that has some flair of the original song as inspiration sprinkled around a little. This one turned out quite well I think.
