My name is John. I have been a broadcaster for five years and have been writing music and poetry for twenty years. My writing isn't meant to be confined to one playlist category. Every moment is a mood, every lyric is a poem, and every song tells a story. I refuse to limit myself. Writing music across genres isn’t just a skill—it’s my passion. I have no desire to change who I am to meet industry expectations.

Where Am I Today?
I can write in any genre, any language, and on any topic. I have access to any instrument and can create with any vocal style—male or female. But at my core, I am a writer, not an entertainer.
I feel timid stepping in front of a microphone—exposing myself vocally is still a challenge. There are skills to master and fears to overcome before I record my own voice or perform live. But I am comfortable behind the DJ decks.

Where Am I Going?
As I navigate my place in the music industry, my goal is to split my music into three primary genres and sign with labels that align with each sound:

Been sitting on this one for a while — finally dropping the first track from a new project I’ve been hammering out with Jerome Jack (ex-AM / Liquid Dogs UK). We call it Deadman’s Sandwich.

This one’s about staring down your demons and kicking anxiety in the teeth — something too many of us are fighting these days. It’s dirty, loud, and unapologetically punk.

Steve on drums and vocals, Jerome’s on guitar and bass and backing vocal and it was shot in KZN by the legend Simon Tait of RabbitKick Media. This is the first of six tracks we’ve recorded — and it only gets heavier from here.
