Recycled Goods: Damage Delivered by tskali (@tskali) is a deep dive into the sound of assemblyline. Encompassing tracks from the earliest Damaged Goods compilations through to the most recent, it highlights the range and ongoing experimental energy of the collective’s artists. The mix serves as a tribute to the diverse voices and bold creativity that the collective has supported, just before our 100th release.  

About the artist: 
tskali is a DJ based in Bristol, known for running Realist Alive (@realistaliveradio) — a series of club nights and a radio show focused on experimental electronic music. Through his monthly show Nervous Music on Chunt.fm, and guest sets spanning from London to LA and back to Bristol, he curates a sound rooted in abrasion, eccentricity, and emotional intensity.  

"The mix originates basically from how much assemblyline I was listening to and playing. The collective homes some of the more interesting producers in the world, and this came through all the more when listening back through the troves of Damaged Goods comps for the mix. I've tried to encompass the many producers and sounds from the collective — there's a track from the very first comp alongside the most recent. Ultimately, I wanted to show this diversity of sounds and the continual experimentalism therein. The mix still coheres into a personal statement, but equally it operates as a showcase of the creativity that the collective has facilitated in the years leading up to the imminent hundredth compilation."

في وقت سابق من اليوم كنت متحمسًا حقًا، ورأيت ما اعتقدت أنه قرص DVD فارغ. اعتقدت أن أقراص DVD بها فتحة ضيقة، وقد تبدو جيدة جدًا. لذا وضعت البولي بروبيلين الناعم في فتحة قرص DVD، ولعدة ثوانٍ عندما بدأت تزداد صلابة، شعرت بحالة جيدة جدًا، ولكن بعد ذلك، بمجرد انتصابي بالكامل، بدأ الأمر مؤلمًا. لقد كان pp الخاص بي عالقًا في قرص DVD، واضطررت إلى كسره إلى نصفين لإخراجه. كان ذلك عندما قلبت قرص DVD المكسور وأدركت أنه لم يكن قرص DVD فارغًا، بل نسخة من فيلم Pixar Up.. A grizzled veteran with a wealth of experience under his belt, FiDRoC was always the go-to guy when you just needed somebody to bang out the jams and get the party started. Now, after a lengthy hiatus, our weary protagonist has sniffed the air and sensed that the time is right to dust off his headphones and step out into the fray once more.

Edited highlights include a stint as the tour DJ for Manchester based chart botherers Mint Royale which took me the length and breadth of the UK and included a number of prestigious Festival slots. Besides holding down multiple residencies and making countless guest appearances in and around Manchester, I also got to crank it up in many legendary (and sadly missed) venues / events such as Sankeys Soap, Music Box and D-Percussion. Pirate Radio? Yep, I also played a part in polluting the airwaves in a series of illicit broadcasts transmitting from a Moss Side tower block.

I also maintained a long running monthly residency at the Light Bar in Shoreditch which regularly saw me hammering out 6 hour sets to wildly eclectic crowds.
