Florine Dezède (1766?-1792?) is a mysterious figure known only for a single extant work, the one-act comédie 'Lucette et Lucas', premiered at the Opéra-Comique (Théâtre-Italien) on 8 November 1781 and published under the name "Mademoiselle D.Z." She was, ostensibly, the daughter of composer Nicolas Dezède (1740?-1798), a man of unknown origins (including to himself) who signed his name "D.Z.", apparently because they were the only 2 letters he knew for certain to be in his name. Hence, the name Dezède was fabricated from these initials (ie, D-Zed) at some later date. If Florine lived from 1766-1792, as contended by many sources, she was no more than 15 years old when she composed 'Lucette et Lucas', and was dead before her 27th birthday. Indeed, the opera was relatively popular, achieving 43 performances over the following decade, usually alongside a work of her father's. World premiere recording. I started my musical journey at the age of five, initially composing music with tablature taught by my father. Beginning with the penny whistle and violin, I played in our family band, busking on the streets of Bath.

Our travels across the country inspired compositions like "Road to Wareham." Music became my sanctuary, especially after being diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome. In college, under mentors such as Dr. Rick Birley, Dr. Richard Hall, and Dr. Julie Trevett, I honed my skills in composition, theory, and piano, transitioning to formal music notation using Sibelius.

Today, I compose for film, video games, and theatre. My music, influenced by my diverse experiences, aims to evoke emotion and tell stories.
