Dorica is a once-in-a-generation Tanzanian-American artist whose music isn’t just heard — it’s felt. Cinematic, euphoric, and emotionally raw, she blends pop, soul, and indie into soundscapes that feel like satin under moonlight.

Her journey began in the booth at age 6 in her father’s studio, recording herself by 12. Raised with Tanzanian heritage, Black American culture, and global influences from Columbus to New York to Zanzibar, her voice is grounded and genre-free — shaped by pop radio summers, soul work, and self-awareness.

Her lead single Eccentric is a bold sonic and visual declaration — reclaiming identity, edge, and goddess energy. It sets the tone for her debut album Unfortunately, I Love You, a genre-bending, soul-stirring project releasing this September — made for the misunderstood, the magnetic, and the becoming.

A singer-songwriter, producer, and engineer, Dorica is self-made — layering freestyle harmonies, warm lower tones, and hypnotic moods into a sound that lingers long after it plays.

She’s performed in Zanzibar, DJ’d Brooklyn parties, and helped brands grow from unseen to undeniable. Her Polaroid portrait was featured in Big Shots Vol. 2 by Phillip Leeds — covered by Billboard, Rolling Stone, and more.
