🔎 About:

Before Big Shit Posse's third album "Damagement" was released in February 2022, the band performed a live show a month earlier which introduced Aldtie Mann's latest composition titled "Refugium", which was already planned to be released as the fourth album in the band's established live show-to-album scheme. Like its predecessors, 'Refugium' marks another evolutional step for the band and presents yet again a different concept and sound. Similar to the second album 'Religions', a single one-take recording forms the basis of the album, while 'Refugium' keeps the entire recording intact and only divides it into 3 tracks to outline the different parts of the composition. In contrast to the energetic 'Damagement' which immediately goes full throttle after a brief intro, 'Refugium' rather takes it's time to slowly build a haunting atmosphere that creates tension and steadily fills the room, and explores the space in between the notes before finding its climax. Aldtie Mann's sonic fundament that lies underneath every composition and live recording takes up even more space than on previous albums, with an expanded use of string arrangements and sound effects which define the albums' sound scape. 'Refugium' also debuts a different line-up, with Rico Repotente performing on electric guitar while Richard Müller does not make an appearance. 

'Refugium' is Big Shit Posse's fourth album, which features audio of a concert show from January 2022 that debuted Aldtie Mann’s composition of the same name, and Rico Repotente as part of the band performing on guitar.
