Okay, so I just bought a massive pile of new, and new to me, tunes. Over 115 tracks, to be exact. My music library undergoes a massive amount of editing, categorizing, and sorting before I even play it. As you can imagine, especially if you spend time digging for music of your own, I was excited to play them. Well, we were having friends over for the Holiday weekend, and everyone and their uncle plays music now. As the host, I knew I wasn't going to get much of a chance to play, so I decided to hop on the night before, and this is what came from it. The name says it all, "It's My Turn!" to play. The result is this ~90-minute set with what I think is a great selection of music in it. I've been meaning to explain my sets a little more in detail. So, most of my sets are recorded after I get new music. After sorting thru them, I usually start playing them in some random order and most of the time end up playing them all in one set. I do this mostly for myself, so I can listen to my music library and learn it better. The problem with this strategy, though, to me at least, is that sometimes I end up playing some super vibey, female vocal tracks with some of that filthy dark electro I love so much. With that said, I'm trying to make more of an effort to include music that fits within, or close to within the same vibe in sets, and instead of playing all the vibes in one set, maybe create two or more, with the same "type" of music vibe. I don't know if it's right or wrong. Sometimes I start playing, and the journey begins, and who knows where I end up. Which, to me, is the most fun part of it all. So, they call me a DJ, but in my mind, I haven't earned that title, yet. In my world, I am just a regular dude who has always loved all kinds of music. I never ventured to the playing side of the music scene. I was the guy with 2 tape decks(cassettes were so cool) sitting on the coffee table, high-speed dubbing for myself and my friends. Electro & Breaks are my preferred genres.  I'm from the Old Skool Era when the only music choices were Trance, House, and Techno. Miami B.A.S.S. and this dude named ICEE changed all of that for me. I leave my older sets uploaded for me, and others to hear and appreciate the progress I've made through my musical journey. The last 5 years have been a lot of fun.
