Yesterday I played one of my favourite sets ever - definitely not perfect, but the energy in the room was wild. Played new and old tunes, from tracks from 1979 to tracks yet to be released. The smiles, the shouts of happiness, and the connection in the room that reminds us we are still human, and that clubbing is still a way to escape our day to day routines. Sadly club culture is at risk, and this was probably my last set at Renate as this legendary institution is set to close its doors soon, but I'll bring this and many other nights there in my memory for life.

Am letzten Donnerstag durfte ich ein ganz besonderes Closing Set um 3:30 Uhr für den Culture.Circus spielen – der Club war prall gefüllt und die Stimmung einfach elektrisierend. Die Auswahl der Tracks spiegelte meine musikalische Reise wider. Das Lineup bestand aus Künstlern verschiedenster Herkunft und vereinte uns unter mehreren musikalischen Genres. Neben einigen meiner eigenen Produktionen – sowohl aus älteren Alben als auch bisher unveröffentlichtem Material – waren auch Stücke von Künstlern dabei, die mich auf meinem Weg stark geprägt haben und zu meinen musikalischen Vorbildern zählen.
Danke an alle, die da waren – ihr habt die Nacht unvergesslich gemacht.

Last Thursday I had the pleasure of playing a very special closing set at 3:30 AM – the club was packed and the crowd's energy was off the charts. The track selection was a journey through different psychedelic soundscapes. Alongside some of my own productions – from older albums as well as unreleased material – I included tracks by artists who have deeply inspired me and shaped my musical path.
Big thanks to everyone who was there – you made the night unforgettable.

"Hailing from Spain, Fernando first entered the electronic music scene whilst studying Landscape Architecture in the UK. After a while he began to eye up the developing scene in China and by 2013 he joined the Elements crew to contribute to their position in Hangzhou as the number one underground event. It wasn't long before he was holding down dance floors with his own individual take on all things deep and pumping. With his love of the electronic, he soon made a name for himself with his vast eclectic sets... a journey creator. Ever since he was a kid he’s been drawn to music, especially to movie soundtracks, that unconsciously brought him closer to electronic music, though his real passion bloomed and materialized in the 90s, when he started djing during Sunday afternoon club parties. 

He became part of the music world in 1996. From 1996 to 1998 he worked as a Dj in various clubs / on special events around Italy - Liguria and Toscana (Cocoricò, Insomnia, Imperiale, Red Zone, The West). 
And thus, in 1999 he started a musical adventure together with 2 dear friends: they founded the “Air Kraft Vision”, a live-act of progressive and tech-house matrix based on midi sequences created and mixed live using recording studio type devices. This is how they started touring the most prestigious clubs in Italy: North to South. 
In the same year Francesco started to publish his own musical productions on vinyl. 

Those were the 90s, a very vivid time for music… a time of collaborations and friendships that soon turned into fruitful projects. A few examples would be Paskkal and SpostaMenti.
It was in 2003 that he became a member of “SpostaMenti” ("Moving-Minds"), a project created by Francesco Zappalà on the occasion of his first live act opening at Distorsione Future Music Festival Bologna. 

In 2004 Francesco Passantino founded his own studio, Laboraudio and created his own label, “Tractorecords”, which he still manages today together with his friends Francesco Zappalà e Giosuè Impellizzeri. The music genres of predilection are tech-house and minimal techno, in collaboration with various foreign labels and artists.
At that time he also started working with important acts like Steve Stoll and Groove Rebels. 

As a producer related to a context of minimal techno and tech house, he crossed the borders reaching Germany with Whirlpoolsex Music e Keno Records (the latter contains the successful “Monosynth” including the Kollektiv Turmstrasse remix). 

His constant cooperation with the German Interklang allowed him to reach renowned clubs all over Germany, where he was invited to perform as a DJ.
Furthermore, he cooperated with Sabrina Carnevale and Sonartek and had a regular weekly presence on the radio show Soundzrise broadcasted by the Italian radio station M2O. 

At the end of 2010 Francesco got in touch with artists from Berlin and in 2011 created - together with Francesco Zappalà - the summer event at the Delano Beach in Ibiza. 

In 2012, after some gigs at the Arena Club, he decided to move to Berlin where he started a regular weekly gig at the Eschschloraque. In those days, he was working on record projects together with Sabrina Carnevale and Dino Lenny.  

In Berlin, Francesco Passantino created Round Qube Musik, together with Gabriele Carasco and I-Max. 

During 2012, already based in Berlin, he also started performing regularly at parties hosted by different clubs in the German capital: Club Der Visionaere”, Hoppetosse, ://about blank, Chalet.

Club der Visionäre is however the spot that marked Francesco's musical existence and sound, that made him grow and evolve as a musician and performer, as a result of his numerous collaborations with so many international artists.

In 2016 it's time for Vinyl2Go, a company dedicated to printing custom-made vinyl in small quantities for every music genre, and for Berliner Vinyl Werk, a small record store.

2021 is the year that witnesses the birth of the Resilience Groove project, a 4 artist live act, which is presently hosted by the Club der Visionäre.

Francesco's dj set encompasses a range of musical genres that includes techno, house and minimal, all with a touch of his 90s origins and all backed by 26 years of music production.

SUKISU is a Berlin-based DJ and electronic music producer known for her dynamic sets that blend house, deep house, techno, and minimalistic grooves. Her performances are characterized by seamless transitions and an intuitive connection with her audience, creating immersive experiences on the dance floor. She is part of Label Betonstrand and Metanoiarhythm.

Gforty is a Berlin based artist, originally from Rome, primarily focusing on Groove Techno with dark tribal-oriented undertones, seamlessly blending contemporary elements with the rich heritage of Detroit Techno, Berlin Techno and Chicago House.

Gforty's journey into electronic music began in the early 2000's in Rome, since then, he consolidated his experience performing at various clubs and events across Germany, Spain, UK and Italy.

His distinctive production style has garnered recognition from international record labels such as Bush Records, Sticky Ground, Bonzai, Bulletdodge and playtime from influential figures in the techno scene, including Slam, DJ Bone, Ben Sims, Luke Slater, Truncate, Laurent Garnier, Ken Ishii, DJ Boris, Carl Cox and Richie Hawtin. 

Gforty's work has also been featured on Mixmag and on BBC Radio One's "Essential Mix" radio show, hosted by Pete Tong. 

In 2022 he created Paradis Artificiel Collective, a collective of DJs, producers, and ravers dedicated to fostering a healthy and inclusive techno community in Berlin with a dedicated passion for groovy underground techno and raw house. The mission of the collective is to create a safe space for everyone, embracing diversity and encouraging self-expression across various art forms.
