The temps are climbing, and you know what that means... Summer is here!  And to mark the occasion, strap yourselves in for another edition of 'Summertime Sizzler' a splendid assortment of the latest and greatest deep-fried psychedelic ear-treats - curated by Kahn, thanks to a plethora of today's most talented psychedelic trance artists in the scene!  Get ready for a mind-bending journey filled with twists and turns, modern and funky twists and soundscapes, and some light hearted nostalgia for good measure.  

And for this edition, a special shout out goes out to Render, whose modern and creative sound guides us through several sections of the mix.  This set was recorded live at 'Organic Circuitry' which took place at an oceanfront park in San Diego, California - the perfect backdrop for the experience!  Special thanks go out to Jason aka Atomic Buddha for organizing the event, and for recording the sets - as well as to Tony for the top quality sound and DJ equipment!

Psyanide is well and truly a legend of the Sydney and Newcastle doof scene in Australia. For the past 18 years he has been providing 1000's of happy feet the best stomp of their lives with his full power DJ sets. Slick mixes, impeccable track selection and infectious energy behind the decks makes this man one of the standout psytrance DJs at any event. 
After a short break from behind the decks Psyanide is back now living in Europe spreading dust across dance floors and spreading that infectious energy across the continent.

Coming to the dance floor with a diverse background of musical experiences, Kahn conveys a unique vibe of groovy, intelligent, and seductively aggressive beats; framed by pulsating, stimulating basslines, and driven by powerful psychedelic leads and soundscapes. In his DJ sets, the dancer can expect to hear only the most modern electric sounds from around the globe - with an emphasis on heavy, funky, and cinematically immersive psychedelic trance geared toward the night and twilight hours.

In addition to his modern twilight sound, Kahn is well versed in Full-On and Progressive styles of psychedelic trance - drawing from his roots in classic Trance and melodic Full-On Psytrance to deliver powerful, psychedelic, and upliftingingly funkadelic daytime sets that pack the dance floor with good vibes!

Kahn has been a part of Southern California's electronic music and dance scene since 2005, and has been listening to and collecting electronic dance music for over a decade! He began his journey into mixing and music production in early 2007, when he started playing at gatherings around the southern California underground music scene. Since then Kahn has built a name for himself, synonymous with high quality, modern psychedelic trance; with a funky, modern, and uplifting flair! He has successfully spread this sound to other sub-scenes of electronic music, and has managed to find creative ways to incorporate this music into non-traditional settings for the style.

In July 2010, KAHN in collaboration with fellow DJ/Producer ST BLACK began organizing monthly PULSAR gatherings in Los Angeles, California. Over the past decade, Pulsar has attracted people from all over the Southern California electronic music and dance scene; delighting people with its unique and intelligent musical vibe fueled by a diverse range of local, national, and international acts. This coupled with positive intentions, and a core philosophy centered around creating high-quality experiences for psytrance lovers of all sorts has made PULSAR into a regular stop for many party goers near and far! PULSAR has been continuously organizing its staple outdoor gatherings: NEBULA and PULSAR ANNIVERSARY for over a decade, in addition to a plethora of other gatherings and partnerships - with no signs of stopping anytime soon!

In August 2014, Kahn in association with Pulsar Music and Digitally Imported started THE EDGE OF TRANCE, a new monthly podcast specializing in bringing the most cutting edge Trance music to listeners around the globe!  Every month featured a 1+ hour guest mix from a revered international artist in addition to a mix from KAHN - presenting the latest and greatest that the scene has to offer!  The Edge of Trance was broadcast continuously for over two-years, with 25 full episodes, with such great reception that still get played regularly today!

PHASE1 has been into all kinds of electronic music from an early age. Born in Denmark, he learned to mix at the age of 13, playing at the local youth club. He bought himself a pair of turntables and a mixer later on and continued to develop his skills, first on vinyl and later on CDJ´s. He discovered the psychedelic scene in 2005, and the music touched him like nothing else. Since then, his favorite style has been night psy and fullon. PHASE1 got signed to Patronus Records in 2020 and, since then, released four mind-blowing compilations.

"Pictureplane", also known as (Travis Egedy) is a popular artist known for making ground breaking electronic music, DIY Venues, also popular for hanging around artists like "Grimes" and "Alice Glass" from "Crystal Castles" in the early come up days of these artist, he is also the one who came up with the word "Witch House" which is a playful word on "House" music, though "Witch House" is now a popular music genre that is now enjoyed by many.


"Crystal Castles" are actually one of the very first, if not the first electronic music duo to actually invent "Witch House" music, as you can hear dark beats and sorrow drawn out voices off of some of their early (demo songs/ Demo Album) dating back from "2007" and before that, which is crazy to think since during that time "Witch House" was not even a thing to be yet during that time.

Encountering the world of Psytrance through a Party in Austria in 2014, this music quickly started to fascinate the person behind Chlamydia Nightmare. Listening to it every day, whilst enjoying and exploring it, developing an addictive behaviour.

Years later, after nearly a decade of listening to Psy-Music on a daily basis and going to parties and festivals, his newly moved in flat mate at that time (JJUXXTA), showed him how to mix together two tracks on a DJ Controller. Having no expectations at all, it felt quite satisfying & fun, whilst finally realising that he could now dive even deeper into his favourite music genre.

Already recording his first whacky Set a few weeks later, the procedure of thinking about what tracks could fit together, which style & tempo to play etc. unlocked a lot of joy inside an already crazy/Psy-addicted Person and Chlamydia Nightmare was sort of born, funnily connected to a weird story from the past regarding a sexual disease.

Chlamydia Nightmare is a project based on the constant (and maybe sometimes lost) hunger of scanning through all the newest Psytrance Music and making the tracks fit together somehow in a weird messy psychedelic fashion. 

Chlamydia Nightmare Sets are mostly around the range of 146-160 BPM Night-& Twilight-Psy, occasionally also diving into DarkPsy and foresty Nightpsy aswell as ForestPsy. Playing not only older tracks from the last 9 years of personal research, but also always adding the newest tunes on the market to his sets, he always hopes to ignite the listener with the same joy he gets from Psy, infecting them like a disease.

Nevertheless, Chlamydia Nightmare is still only the fun little project of a cracked up childish person, which for some reason, listens to Psytrance every day without losing the joy for it. The drive behind playing and recording sets is still fueled by the happiness of just listening to this kind of music for hours on end, even if Chlamydia Nightmare is the only person in the room.

Onur Pekinöz aka PACK was born in Istanbul. He started mixing tracks as a Dj at 2010. By that time he was playing house / techno. Psytrance was calling him so hard and he started play psytrance in 2013. Since then he played at almost all indoor psytrance parties in Istanbul. In 2014-2019 summers he was in the line up at all outdoor festivals in Turkey. He continues him career on the Asia Continent right now. He plays progressive psytrance and twilight as well as psydub as a resident DJ at Crystal Kids.
