We shouldn't just assume we are going to heaven. We learn from Luke 20:27-47 that we should base our confidence about going to heaven on faith in Jesus not mere assumption, not mere faith in self. Jesus taught that he himself would be judging whether we were worthy or not, and it was all about belief in him. Then he taught how different we would be in heaven, and the Bible's teaching on the transformation we will undergo is fascinating! But we don't get there just because we want to go or just because we get a lot of praise from other people. We get there by faith in Jesus, how he took our sins on his cross.
